I can't help you...I refuse to help you...because that is one of my favourite films!

Don't google a synopsis, tell him exactly what happened! Don't fool yourself and don't fool him by doing so. You've tried watching it, but you got bored. That's the truth. I know how you're feeling, but what could happen, really? Him gettin pissed off just cause you didn't like it? So what? And even if that happens, don't you think that this situation is a brilliant test for him of how he can deal with a moment like that? If he doesn't care, smiles and changes the subject within two minutes, he's definitely your man, I'd say.
You know what? Relationships with 100% equal interests don't last long. This probably sounds a bit wise-ish/#Ian-ish, but I guess it's proven in reality and almost always true. |

Having a similar taste in film as someone else is nice, but so is having enough self-respect and confidence to like someone without having to actually be them.

Well you really have to mention the heard of pink sheep at the end, I don't think Wikipedia covers it but it is a crucial way to understanding a whole hidden, deep understanding to the film. Just ask him which one of the sheep was his favourite, Baaarbara or Maaaaandy and then that should get him talking for a wee while!

Tell him you were surprised to see so many penguins in a WW2 epic.

Why? It was more fun when you didn't because then we could post random things like this:

I remember when I was first 'seeing' my current boyfriend. I was all nervous, and we were talking about our favourite bands. He asked me to guess his (he said they were a huge band, now broken up), and I couldnt so he started to mouth out the letters.. T..H...E......B...E...A...T... and (before he could finish) I was like.. 'OOOH The Beat!!! Yeah.. I've heard of them. They're ok.' I had never heard of them, infact, I do not even know if they exist!! Obviously, he meant The Beatles. What an idiot!!! It took a long time for him to stop laughing at me..
But we have now been together for 19 months, so clearly my idiocy must have been slightly endearing! Hope it all goes well for you Nine I love that stage when you're all giddy and in love, and you want to do anything to please them! |

i would have taken a different approach, as soon as you were asked about the film, you should have slapped him and ran.
i wonder why i am single

ahhh yay, sounds good fun! I love hearing about stuff like this... I'm a soppy little fish at heart. I'm at my boyfriends now actually. Funnily enough, he's watching a dvd of THE BEAT... a hard days night I think. So I'm enjoying some eskimo company Hope it all goes well in the coming weeks, PM/post if you can be bothered.
