because i had double booked myself and it turns out i have a prior engagement....i'm very very sorry

well, when i checked the site this morning it stated as well that it has been cancelled... and it still does. i don't know why! he has to play, he has to!... i hope there's light at the end of the tunnel

it says it's cancelled on all the ticket selling pages.
i really hope, they're only moving location or so, we are looking forward to the concert so much.

This is weird, what's going on? If it's cancelled why is it still on Damien's Homepage? At one ticket agenciy they say, they only got an email saying it's cancelled without any reason. At the other agency they don't even have it in their database allthough the lady said she would see it if it was cancelled.
Hmm...can somebody tell us what's going on? *grml*

i've send an e-mail to the organizer of WUK. he replied:

Hallo,

leider ist das Konzert von Damien Rice auf unbestimmte Zeit verschoben. Laut Management hat Damien einige Shows abgesagt, weil er sich von der Vielzahl an Live-Terminen überlastet fühlt. Er möchte die Show jedoch zu einem bislang nicht näher definierten späteren Zeitpunkt nachholen. Also dürfen wir uns trotzdem auf ihn freuen ;-)

hey danke, das sind ja doch ganz gute nachrichten.

ich hab gestern im wuk angerufen aber die "dame" meinte nur es sei nicht üblich gründe für absagen zu nennen, sehr nett...

das ist ja voll besch...eiden. ich hab mich soooooooo gefreut, ihn in meiner heimatstadt zu sehen und dazu nach hause zu fahren. ist ja wohl ein scherz... na ja, vielleicht kann ich was fuer muenchen organisieren, falls es dann noch karten gibt, wenn ich was naeheres weiss... grrrrrr

Not strange if you look at the European tour list. The gigs are scattered all over the place, I had to laugh out loud when I saw he was playing Hamburg, then Vienna, and then Berlin. Somebody please give this fella a map of Europe. Gigs in France are also all over the place. Hope he doesn't cancel anymore of them though

well, i wouldn't give the map to him but the management... and i mean, there are plenty of gigs in germany. they could've cancelled one there (no offence) and leave the one in vienna... that's the only one in austria...

it'd just be interesting after which criteria they chose the route of towns to play in... well... 'tis like it is, isn't it?

ja, das ist fix [das er im herbst kommt]. Wir besprechen gerade mit dem Management neue Terminvorschläge. Leider weiß ich bislang auch noch nicht, wann es stattfinden wird. Sobald es fixiert ist, stelle ich´s auf die Website.
