Is downloading concert bootleg torrents illegal?
just wondering since the recording isnt copyrighted does that make it legal? even though the songs may be copyrighted? i kinda need to know cus comcast got pissed at me downloading illegal stuff so i need to keep everything legal now

Depends if the artist/performer in question gave permission...usually not.

It's a legal grey area, sometimes it depends on the country too. Most artists don't mind, and labels have bigger fish to fry. The only time you'll run into any problems is when you're downloading something by an artist who isn't around to say it's okay anymore, and is instead represented by lawyers.
My advice would be change from comcast. They're a service provider, not the police.
