wrong answers haha!!

I cannot perceive not enjoying songs from the road but will chalk it up to individual taste...........I for one cannot wait save for the dreaded conflict his schedule may entail with another certain musical david lol

either cille I have a big disconnect or you guys haven't listened closely...........

how do these lyrics not move you???

now i don’t lightly use words like forever
but i will love you ‘til the end of today
and in the morning when i remember everything that you are
well i know i’ll fall for you over again

now i know someday this all will be over
and it’s hard to say what most will i miss
just give me one way to spend my last moments alive
and i choose this, i choose this, i choose this
i choose this, i choose this, i choose this
i choose this, i choose this, yeah i choose…

for someone with 15 years under my belt these words mean the world to me as do so much of his lyrics - as in listening to everytime by sir david I put sll that forth!!..............think you should re-consider or at least hope you do

and by the way we are talking REAL love...............not some contrived notion at a LA wayward station...............the beauty I am able to find in all of this is a continued pledge over so many years of work......no matter who the artist........because most definitely I CHOOSE THIS!!

As has david btw.........married for some time

Default selected lyrics...........

Well the mob’s getting angry and the torches alight
Because they’re putting up taxes by a penny tonight
And you can never taste freedom boys if you run from a fight
And when the heavens are falling take a step to the right

.................

and every scar sits like a marker
every line on the face is a small souvenir
of all the places be they good or be they bad
that we stopped into on the journey to here

.......................

Watch your step by the crowd of fanatics
While they kill in the name of applied mathematics
Hate the system even though you invented it
Go kill your brothers and claim self defence of it
Picking up all the secrets and tricks to being
One of the guys whom the **** never sticks to
Take you seats for the final calamity
Don't you look serious, hell, what can the matter be?
Another day and the rot's getting faster
And all the machines started killing the master

.......................

I will work like a pack horse
every hour of the day
i will drink like a preacher
oh make these spirits go away
i will sing like an angel with an ear for a sin
but i won’t scream down st peter when he don’t let me in

................................

its like i cannot sleep for dreaming
this is everything i could have possibly hoped it would be
a lot of stories will end happy ever after
but i swear nothing quite like you and me

Just love this guy...............and you coty!!

Yes, Cille & Joy, go listen some more

I think he's truly talented. I got his 2 albums recently and they're very very good. There's a bunch of amazing tracks on each album, although I admit, there are also so-so tracks that lower the quality of the album as a whole...

that said, I'm not super crazy bout that Panic single, hope there are better things in the new album!!

Damn people should stop quoting that, and I should stop listening to it. That is one of the most tear-jerking lyrics ever for me ;'(

I listened some more, and I'm still not captured. those lyrics didn't get to me either - sorries... I feel towards him abit like i feel about william fitzsimmons and ason mraz - it's nice and mellow nall, but... doesn't GET me.
Maybe you have to experience D Ford live?

oh my goodness yes do go see him live! he is a wonderful musician and quite funny and chatty - even if the music doesn't move you I am 100% confident that you (especially as a fellow musician) would have strong appreciation for his talent........I will always remember how lucky I was to have randomly found out he was playing Bloomsbury on a trip to London and encouraged by this board to go see him......it was simply awesome!

however he is very UK-centric so not sure when you would get the opportunity to see him in continental Europe........he is doing the UK and then the US with this cd release so who knows ......

oh this album is so getting under my skin! something about him just speaks to the hopeless, desperate romantic in me, and apparently I have a thing for guys whispering urgently at me as I think the opening of this album is one of the best in a while.
Need to listen more now!

Listening to it right now! Awesome, asesome record! You can now get it for less than 5 euros from itunes.

And yeah... you should try to get to one of his live shows to really appreciate his talent! Just like dear old Damien, he just shines on a stage. And he is incredibly funny too!
