The Sunday is probably the strongest lineup but there's only a couple of names on the list that woud motivate me to actually go.

I wonder how Ricie Egan will get on in a church.

There is a possibility there could be almost everyone from Damien's former line up on Monday, except Damien and Vivian. Aside from Lisa, Tomo, and Shane; Joel's band, Pedestrian, often plays back up to Steve Reynolds. They have done so numerous times at the Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles. I guess we'll see.

yep. It was all a bit weird when they went on sale yeaterday morning. The listing disappeared from tickets.ie 30mins before they went on sale. They appeared again "on sale" at 9.02 (ish). Initially when choosing the tickets a screen came up saying that the night was not sold out but the tickets you reqiered may have been reserved. Getting anxious so tried another few times, finally got 2 tickets for the Sat night, tickets #1 & 2#. A lot of effort and I'm not even going, they're for my brother and girlfriend.

24 hrs later the line up was announced, which in my mind seemed a bit devious of them.

I'm just a rock and a sea away, but I'm still angry at not being around for this Mac Con Iomaire-Torrini-Hannigan-Kíla combo. Oh, cruel fate!

*bump*

Only found out today (think it was only announce in the past few days) but the above series is being broadcast from tonight - Lisa's performance on Wed 21 Jan
Quote:
Presented again by Lyric FM's John Kelly, who is joined this year by the BBC's Annie Mac, the seventh series of RTÉ Two's 'Other Voices' includes performances from Christy Moore, Duke Special, Elbow, Lisa Hannigan, Mick Flannery, Billy Bragg and many others.

Coming from a very wide variety of musical styles and traditions the 25 acts descended on Dingle in December 2007 to record the series which celebrates different sounds and styles of music and voices.

The musical artists gathered for the event - a diversity of musical expressions and energy - barely contained within the walls of the atmospheric 200-year-old Church of St James.
The six-programme series will be broadcast on RTÉ Two from Wednesday, January 14, 2008.

Viewers can vote online to pick their favourite artists from the season and get included on the best of show.
Last year Dark Room Notes got the most votes.

Off to bed bit its recording downstairs....and judging by the opening songs by Elbow, its gonna be good.

Well I finished my revision at midnight last night, and remember Lisa was on. So I thought hey, another 25 minutes won't hurt! I preceeded to watch 2 songs from colm con mac cinmonascjsacbadbu and then one from james morrison...

Grrr

No Lisa.

But at the end when Annie Mac was summing up she said "Lisa Hannigan, wow"

I watched it!
Lisa performed 3 songs and did a short interview...
The songes where 'Ocean and a Rock', 'Splishy Splashy' and 'Lille'. The interview was manly about her plans for 2009, which where more touring!!!...in Europe, Ireland and a bit in the UK and writing and recording more songs for a second album!!!
