i really can't wait to hear the album... hope it's as good as i'm expecting! i have this dream that u2 will ask them and damien to support them on their next tour, or at least in croke park in may. rumours are they've already asked snow patrol... so it would be an amazing irish line-up i think. anyway, i'm rambling... this is what happens when i have no messages to move or people to ban! Current Hot Press cover stars The Frames have added an extra date to their Vicar Street gigs, as tickets for the shows sell like hot cakes.
As well as their already confirmed Vicar Street gigs (September 20 and 30), and their one show in Belfast's Ulster Hall (September 28), The Frames have just confirmed that they will also do a Vicar Street show on October 1. Ireland's favourite melancholic rockers are featured on the cover of the current issue of Hot Press, and their fifth studio album, Burn the Maps, gets reviewed following the huge success of their last offerings Set List and For the Birds. They did the same with Mundy's album launch and with Damien's 'Lonely Soldier' launch. No wonder they all went straight to the top of the charts in the first week! Although when I said this to Damo he said he didn't realise that at all and that shouldn't have been the case. Good marketing ploy me thinks. Probably by HMV.

Listening to the new album right now! Not bad at all! I have to say though, I'm reeeeeeeeally disappointed with the production on it. Especially since some of the engineers/producers that worked on it have really good reps. What happened? Maybe it's just me. Also, I noticed on the 'thank you' notes that all of Damo and gang were named except for Lisa...........wonder why

isnt it funny , production always seems to let the frames down...i havent heard the album yet, but i wouldnt be surprised if it suffered from the same flaws as before....i think the best way to hear the frames is live...i look forward to hearing the album though
