Does anyone have the proper set list for this...because damien rice trading seems to have an incorrect one and also during the show does the recording skip or is that just my CD player.....or the CD most probably?

Could you post your tracklist (with track times if possible) so we can cross-reference it? The one on drt.tk was made from a copy sent from the taper, so it should be correct - You may have gotten a re-tracked version or a different recording...

the set list on damien rice trading is incorrect. well spotted - baby sister (track8 disc 1 has been omitted) i also noticed that i had failed to pick up on the fact that the intro to cold water is a 2:25 version of 'never' ; blame it on age

correct listing ought to be:

Damien Rice
The Octagon, Sheffield University
19th February 2004

Disc 1

1. Intro
2. Delicate
3. I Remember
4. Amie
5. Sex Change
6. Eskimo
7. Volcano
8. Baby Sister
9. Never > Cold Water

Disc 2

1. Hallelujah
2. Intermezzo / audience noise
3. Come Together *
4. Woman Like A Man > Tongue > WLAM Reprise
5. The Professor
6. The Blower's Daughter
7. Cannonball

hope this helps to answer your question and correct a couple of inaccuracies.

felix,

the list i've got should be near enough correct 'cos i was there in february. would be interesting to see what you have got on your setlist

'never' was originally a juniper song which Bell X1 reworked into 'eve, the apple of my eye'in 2003 on the Music in Mouth album. so is the song a cover or not or just a visit to his back catalogue???. i dare say that tongue could be included in the same argument. both have also done volcano, face and woman like a man as well from the juniper catalogue.

the 'jeff buckley' song from sheffield and lots of other shows is 'hallelujah' which isn't really a jeff buckley song - it was originally written and sung by leonard cohen in 1984, as a release on a 7" single . the paradox is that you have damien rice copying jeff buckley covering leonard cohen. best version that i've heard of leonard cohen singing his own song is on the 1985 montreux jazz festival bootleg - diamonds in the minefield or the full 3cd version and the delivery is totally different. damien's style of delivery owes more to jeff buckley than leonard cohen.

hope that helps in some way

yeah i do know all about the jeff buckley stuff...and i do know about the eve, the apple of my eye...

this is my setlist:

1) Tongue - this is like really quiet - coming from like a CD source or so not with damo actually playing
2) Face
3)Volcano
4)AMie
5)Delicate
6)Childish
7)Older CHests
8) Prague
9)The Blower's Daughter and Speech

Disc 2

1) Damo - talking about what its like to be a songwriter
2)Eskimo and "Thank Yous"
3)I remember
4) COme together - Vyv Solo
5) Cannonball and COld Water Story
6) COld Water
7) Hallelujah - unplugged
8) Eve, the apple of my eye - Bell x1 cover
9) Tongue
10) Grey Room
11) Fool
12) Rootless Tree

THis is what i have.I'm not sure if the last 5 songs are from that gig, this is what is confusing me?
