Default Hmm.. Help!?!

Hello there, I need a lil' help. I found this song of Damien & I was wondering if there's a studio version or at least a better version of it.

http://www.4shared.com/account/audio..._With_Me_.html

And if it's not too much. ¿How can I get the lyrics? Cos I am not an English native speaker..If I would read the lyrics I'd understand much better the song...

You look for something to hold onto
You look for something to pull you out
And you look around and everybody's dead
And you hold on cause it's all in your head

And you're looking for some, someone to sing for
And you give it all, all in vain
Cause you just f*ck 'em all like a broken bridge
yeah, yeah, yeah....
So go on
Just lie down
Curl up in a ball
Say I'm the one that makes you fall
Roll away
Like you never belonged to yesterday
f*ck off
And take your bags and go home
Leave my door, don't come here anymore
no, no, no....

What's the point in painting
What's the point of being here at all
What's the point in wasting
What's the point in crawling
I've had to know
And I'd like it to be ......something
If you'll just be real with me
If you'll just be real with me
And I'll just be real with you
And I'll just be real with you
And I'll, I'll......

I found one on my friends iTUNES listing called Damien Rice (Perfume) never could find it online though. I wish I could have figured out how to get some of those songs from her Mac onto my computer, but they didn't transfer over from my MP3 player before the damn thing died. At least I only lost 5 songs, still have over 30 on my computer!

i love your new avatar, rach!

about this song, i haven´t listened to it in a very long time. in fact, i thought it was a damien solo song, so it was a lovely surprise to hear lisa´s singing
quite rough and passion version, uh!

You won't find any studio version of it because that was a one-time improvisation he did at Transbordeur in Lyon in 2007, at the end of Eskimo...

You can watch a video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OxfcsSHwMH4
and if you want to download the full mp3 (including Eskimo): http://www.4shared.com/audio/V69c9HI..._Real_Wit.html (not sure about the quality, but I think it's a youtube rip)

and this is the old thread http://eskimofriends.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14947

Thanks, Ver! Here's a video of Damien at Angus and Julia's show. Wasn't hard to find on Youtube, but it's the only one I could find. I wonder if he means to tease his fans like this with these random appearances!

Oh and, I found this on the flowerpot website

MONDAY 12TH JULY-SUNDAY 18TH JULY
COMMUNION COLLABORATION RECORDING SESSIONS
Flowerpot are teaming up with the Communion team for an original and extremely exciting project. In this one week in July we're turning the venue into a recording studio, bands will be invited to The Flowerpot with the idea of collaborating with other musicians. Songs will be written, songs will be recorded, gigs will be played, gigs will be recorded, photos will be taken and films will be made. The whole thing will then be compiled into a double album that will be released later in the year. As we said, pretty exciting. For this week doors will be opening at 7pm and closing at 11pm. We've got some amazing acts already confirmed, so come down and be a part of something very special indeed.

Marti,

I never heard this improv before and not sure how I missed it the first time (BTW, my suggestion for a title would be "Something"). The "Bridge" part is definitely tough because I agree that it sounds much closer to the inscrutable "brush". However, I believe I can shed at least some very significant light on this line and am surprised no one else has said they've heard what I did right away. I'm also putting in parenthesis some possible previously unmentioned alternatives that I see being valid for other lines:

You look for something to hold onto
You look for something to pull you out
And you look around and everybody's dead
And you hold OUT cause it's all in your head

And you're looking for some, someone (thin') to sing for
And you give (kill) it all, all in vain
CLOSE (s/ this) ****in' OFF like a broke ___ br___ o__o___
yeah, yeah, yeah....
So go on
Just lie down
Curl up in a ball
Say I'm the one that makes you fall
Roll away
Like you never belonged to yesterday
f*ck off
And take your bags and go home (actually don't hear either word it sounds more like he says run to me)
Leave my door, don't come AROUND here anymore
no, no, no....

What's the point in painting
What's the point of being here at all
What's the point in wasting
What's the point in crawling
I've had to know(go)
And I'd like (There's no it in this spot) to be ......something
If you'll just be real with me
If you'll just be real with me
And I'll just be real with you
And I'll just be real with you
And I'll, I'll......[/quote]
