Smile Lisa Hannigan's involvement in the new National album

Excerpt from an interview of Bryce Dessner :
"[...] Lisa Hannigan, who’s become a good friend of ours, features quite prominently on it along with the RTÉ Orchestra. [...]"

(image is clicky to the interview)

That's cool.
Although I'd like Lisa to focus more on her own music an less on this stuff with the national.

I'm not a fan of The National at all. the only song I enjoyed out of the new album is "Dark Side Of The Gym", which features Lisa. she does backing vocals on other tracks as well

You most likely have seen this on her Twitter yesterday, but for those who haven't :

"Can't wait to play some Irish shows over the next few weeks! We start next Wed in Wexford at the @SpiegeltentWex with an all ages show at 5pm, followed by an 9pm evening show with support from the brilliant @WyvernLingo. (Then I'm off writing songs again for a while.)"

Ooooh I hadn’t seen it. (Basically ‘cause I only have tweet alerts for one person and it isn’t Lisa )

She’s also doing a couple of shows with a Belgian band over here in November. So I’ll see her again soon

hehe... I'll try.

I saw her in Amsterdam a couple of weeks ago at the 7layers festival and John Smith—who was also playing at the festival—joined her on stage. They were genuinely happy to play together again and it showed

Ah apologies, I didn't mean to spam!
Yes, they are both too sweet

I saw John in Galway just 2 weeks before the Amsterdam gig. (I was on my way back from a trip to Connemara and he just happened to play the Róisín the same night I was in Galway )
I bought his new album and he was totally happy that I asked him to sign it. So cute

Now back on topic : I heard Lisa was on stage with the National in Hamburg last night! They streamed the concert on facebook.
