Can someone please tell me what is sung backwards at the end of Cold Water?

I did ask Damien himself but he just said to play it backwards to find out....only, my CD player can't do this.!!!

The fact that you can find out all sorts of things about Damien's songs makes them that tad bit better when you listen to them.

If you carry on listening to the whole song backwards you can re-create Twin Peaks (all you need is some Red Curtains and a couple of strobe lights lol)Edited by: Smithy

I havent heard it backwards myself, but in an interview (cant remember with who) he tells that he added it because of the time he lived with monks in the french mountains, and every mourning as they prayed and sang, it sounded like that. He says why he felt it would work well with the song but he didnt mention anything about any message, and im sure its just a freakish coincidence that it sounds like those words.

But i could be proved wrong........Edited by: daol20

Downloaded the software...listened to it backwards...and...whoa. That's pretty strange. It isn't too distinct, the chanting part, but you can definitely hear the words, and they're clearly English. Whoa. Nifteh!

I've uploaded a small mp3 sample of the end of Cold Water in reverse, might make it easier for some people to hear it.

It's just the chanting at the start of the song played backwards isn't it?
