Not sure its entirely damien related but this gig has just been announced in honor of Aung San Suu Kyi's 65th birthday.. Im sure its only a matter of time once Damien gets involved in the lineup

All proceeds from this concert will go to Burma Action Ireland to aid their continuing efforts to raise awareness for the violent military oppression suffered by the people of Burma.

Aung San Suu Kyi, The Nobel Prize winner and figurehead for democracy in Burma will likely spend June 19th, her 65th Birthday under house arrest. Some Irish People, including most of the acts at this concert, also turn 65 this year and want to honour her. Irish music, literary and media legends including Christy Moore, broadcaster Eamon Dunphy, musician Keith Donald and author Deirdre Purcell will perform music and readings on Saturday June 19th, the day of the Nobel Peace Prize winners' 65th birthday.

Bought tickets regardless of if he plays or not.. Eamon Dunphy doing readings is worth far more than a damien rice appearance
