Italy - photo journal - April 8-14, 2005
Hello Eskimos. You guys have always been very supportive of my music and my photography so I thought I'd share. This is not a pimping post!
Recently I took a vacation to Italy with my girlfriend of three years, Mary Kovaleski. We travelled for 36 consecutive hours to get from Boston to Positano on the Amalfi Coast of southern Italy. We were lucky enough to travel through this beautiful country and experience some very unique moments. We visited Positano, Sorrento, Pompeii, Amalfi, Capri, and Rome. If you wish, please take a look at the photos I took along the way. They are much smaller and edited versions of the original photos (and fewer of them, as I took over 400 and there are ~only~ 280 in the journal). If you ever wish to hear more about the trip just ask and I will respond. We created some fond memories over there such as reading at Mass in Positano to a church filled with local Italians, swimming in the Mediterranean Sea and having the locals laugh at me because the water was so cold, witnessing chunks of ice fall from the sky in a brief but beautiful hail storm while sipping hot chocolate at a cafe, walking down pathways created by men that lived during the time of Jesus, being stared at by locals as Mary and I zoomed past them on our mopeds in Positano and Capri, and the best of all... drinking local wines and eating fresh foods everyday. If you take a look at the images, thanks very much. If you would like any of the photos to be blown up for your own personal use, please contact me and we can discuss options. They will be high quality largescale prints. They are powerful images for me and I hope you enjoy them. here's the link to the gallery: http://www.coreybyrnes.com/gallery/2005-04-Italy

wow. those are really beautiful photos, corey. it looks (and sounds) like a once in a lifetime kind of trip. i particularly liked the black and white shots - the old man on the train and the prayer candles were especially powerful. you have such an artistic eye.
thanks for sharing

Wow.....those photos are definitely the best thing to appear on my computer screen in a while (apart, of course, from pudding's bare feet!). I can't pick a favourite - they're all stunning in different ways.

i would also be very interested as to how you're going to do it! you can use the photo on one condition... you have to post a picture in this thread when the project is completed!
