GRRRR!!! Avatars!
Why is it every picture I choose off the internet as an avatar is always too big? I have tried loads of pictures and the forum won't let me change it! Someone help me!!! boo hoo!

I know Felix, thats kinda irritating. I find ones that are really cool (in my opinion anyway) and they dont work. Hence why im stuck with this crappy one <-----

If you resize the image in photoshop or even microsoft paint it should work.
And hollowrose, you go to the top there to 'quick links' and then down to 'edit avatar'.

yeah, u can even change the colour properties. for web stuff i tend to use macromedia fireworks. u can put an image in there resize it. and then there's an export preview, which will tell you exactly what the size will be and howlong it will take to transfer. u can fiddle about with different settings and it'll show u what size the file will be will be with those settings. hope that helps.

ah you can't beat the old photoshop... sure it costs about €600, but there are still other (more legally questionable) means to get it.

good old paint does the work too, but if you want more features there's gimp, it's no photoshop but it's a pretty decent software and it's free
