Well first of all this is one of my favorite Damo songs. I was just listening to it today and I thought, wow, is this song about Lisa maybe?? hmmm. Does he refer to her in the line:

But you can't paint an elephant
Quite as good as she

???
Anyone else have a thought about this?
***I was thinking this becasue she did some of the artwork in the album case.

yes, i've thought about that too, but i think that the whole song is about this "blower's daughter", not lisa. He just refers to her painting the elephant, saying that this other woman isn't as good at some things as Lisa. perhaps i'm completely wrong, though!

It's one of my personal faves also.

The version I have is from this performance, where Damien explains that,

and that,

'it's on the same key [as the original song - "part 1", I mean], which is e'.

He also jokes saying that,
