I was looking into extracting wav files from cd's and stumbled across </span></font>"EAC". Does anyone use this softare for audio extraction?

On the website </font></font>http://www.exactaudiocopy.de
the download is the beta version and gives a warning about only
expierenced users should use the beta version. Does anyone know what
thats all about?

No.

But why not use Nero or your regular burning software? Nero has a "record track" command that does just that.

EAC is generally considered the best software for converting with the least errors. I had a song that was too scratched for Nero- it just didn't convert it at all. With EAC I was able to convert the song and the sound quality was fine.

Check this information:

Daol, don't let that disclaimer put you off, EAC is by far probably the easiest extraction tool to use (well it's definitely the most efficient) *especially* when converting directly to shns.. if you need any help just give us a pm and i'd be glad to give you the very basics on using eac

Exact Audio Copy is the best program for encoding MP3s too. I use it all the time for the best quality mp3s.

EAC is the standard amongst people who trade live CDs with others. The best for getting wav's from CD, yep.

Actually I dl'd it last night because I needed a good extraction tool. I found it to be really simple to use.
