order from damien's official site. i did for a replacement after my first one was lost and got O with the linen cover and art booklet, just like the original (limited edition) release. the 9 releases are all pretty much the same.. live from the union chapel is a must have, too.

what a vivid description.. but, yeah it's pretty bad.

j-plane was impossible to get for years, it was only self-released on cassette by the band and those few that had it kept it pretty close to their chest.. so it's more of a rare collectible curiosity/historical artifact than anything else.

^I didn't know what J-plane was untill now - now I'll check it out... Mmmh, musical diarrhea... I guess all artists have embarressing demos lieing around...

^^ I like the linen one the best too. I only have the cardboard one that I had to break/fix, so that the cd didn't fall out all the time. The linen one is actually a nice artefact, the cardboard one is just...useless. I'd love to gat O on vinyl, it's like the perfect album for vinyl, I think

I've got one of the original releases, it's lovely...all wrapped up though, never sees the light of day!

We knew you weren't ready Juniper actually entered a sort of battle of the bands on Irish TV around that time, and got to the final playing "Full Moon". No idea if they won the final though.

I was reading the lyrics to some Juniper songs on Irish Music Central. Does anyone know where I can hear the song 'Rage'? Is it any good? Can't find that one.

talking about formats of O (& 9), recently I grabbed the Japanese versions on a recent visit to Tokyo. They're very nice and comes with a booklet with all the lyrics translated into Japanese

Hi Marti.
I have O, also. Where did you buy it in Tokyo ? Recofan or Tower Records ? Because it's not very easy to find them in Japan. Is the cd pink ?

just checked and it's not pink, regular yellowish...

cannot remember the shop. My friend took my to some neighbourhood, Nakano maybe? it was a little sorta-indie shop, definitely not HMV or the likes... I can ask my friend for the name of the shop... it was an amazing shop!!

I tell you this because when I was in Tokyo, I searched for O, and did not find it at HMV or Tower Records, even in Book Off, no damien rice's cd.

But, later I learn about Recofan, I went to the Recofan store in Shibuya, and they had many damien rice's albums, and also some rare Nils Lofgren's ones.

Recofan is a MUST GO for music lovers.

Recofan is the short name for Record(s) Fan(s), you can find many things, and also rarities, because they do news, but mostly used cds and vinyls.

yes, HMV and Tower didn't have much alternative music, was Gaga everywhere

maybe we're talking about the same shop cos mine had also rarities/used, and lots of indie stuff like Sigur Ros, Bjork, etc... the thing is I was being walked around so wasn't paying much attention, so not even sure about the area, but was like 5-10 min by train from Shinjuku not more

9+O Damien Rice Chinese DSD HDCD 2 Cd Slip Case
1st Cd is album " 9 " with 5-6 James Blunt Bonus Songs
2nd Cd is album " O " with 3-4 Damien Rice Live Songs
It is Chinese Cd with Chinese Standard

http://cgi.ebay.com/9-O-Damien-Rice-...#ht_2414wt_983

9 + James Blunt songs wtf wtf wtf

I think we're just dealing with an Asian pirate production.
A friend of mine once saw this Danish film for sale in Thailand:

..."Nynne's Diary", only in Thailand it was entitled 'Bridget Jones 3'... Same same, only different

I also find it funny that it says:

It all comes from a clean, smoke and pet free home.

so might be fake but at least it's dog hair-free
