Zane says: "It's an exclusive first play of one of the most talented singer-songwritters to come from the UK ever, period."
But eh... he's not from the UK!!! grr... He's IRISH Zane... good job apart from that though "This is a magnificent return for Damien Rice. This is '9 Crimes'. This is a hush record." << I wonder if Zane has heard that Bono quote

Yay! I love it! Any way to record it from that stream? I want it on my iPod. If you figure out how to do it and want to give me an mp3, I will love you forever.

i'm on my fourth listen already.. god i'm entranced by this man's voice
lisa sounds beautiful too, but the interplay of their voices sounds awkward to me or something.. not seamless and natural like with volcano.. but still.. beautiful since the dj called it a "hush" record do you think he was referring to the whole album or just the single? and what did he mean damien spawned a movement, some of it good some of it bad but none of it his fault? did i miss something? |

It's lush and intimate. It's absolutely everything I knew it would be. I am thrilled about the new album.

This is wonderful I can't wait for this album, I really can't. I love this song so much ! After 5minutes deciphering BBC's awful HTML code here's a direct link to the show:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/shows...1/zane_tue.rpm Song starts around 13-14min in Easier to navigate to the start of it with this. Last edited by Dean C; 09-20-2006 at 01:12 AM. |

sister m,
i think it's a clear stab at James Blunt. The movement Damien contributed starting is the singer-songwriter I'd say together with David Gray. This kind of music was always selling but just ok, but after Damien and David it became more popular and started selling buckets of CDs... Which is good because their music is amazing but it also brought less-talented singer-songwriters (cough*James Blunt*cough), who probably hadn;t had it as easy if people like Damien hadn't paved the road for them. |

I have it ripped to MP3. Is it really kosher to post it here? Honest.

i'm so confused!?!?!? what are you guys loving that you are listening too!?!?!?!?!
ps. i don't think damien paved the way AT ALL. i'd def. say he is one of our modern day guys to help out with all the other not so talented people, but damein and david grey were NOT the ones who paved the way for others. i think people like james taylor, cat stevens, etc. were the ones who paved the way for people like damien and then people like damien just boosted it for this generation of singer/songwriters, but this is just my opinion. i just think that he wasn't the one to give all this credit to... don't get me wrong though.. damien is my favorite of all time and i got mad respect for him and helping open the doors, but damien isn't THAT popular. most people haven't really heard of him, but have heard of people like james taylor or cat stevens.
