Default Cold Water Chant

I know there has been a few topics about what exactly he says in the chant on the end of the live version of cold water and i aint sure if we came to a conclusion BUT i was just watchin celebrity love island live (sorry) and Abi Titmuis was talking about budisum and meditation and she started doing the identical chant so i was wondering if it was something to do with his mediation spiritual side ?

Any know anything about this ?

As far as i know its called 'Gregorian Chant' and its an ancient, Christian-related (also Celtic influenced) way of chanting, it used to be done in church decades ago, cant remember any more details but I shall let you know JMC (wot does that stand for?!)

Oh, that's DAMIEN? I thought it was a recording of some other guy/s. I always picture a group of religious-looking men in old fasioned cloaks walking through the aisles of an enormous, dark church lit by candles chanting it to themselves....

the grogorian chant dates back to i think the Renessance (sp) When it was done in churches, mainly i think in England and Vienna. It was very popular and they used it for everything like Requiums and general singing.

Obviously I can't talk for J.M.C, what with not being the same person and everything, but I don't think that he/she was talking about the Gregorian-style chanting in Cold Water. They specifically mention the chanting in the LIVE version, which I assume means the bit in the jamming session at the end where Damien starts rapidly chanting something that someone on here once described as sounding like "agnioranior" - pretty close to what he seems to be saying, if you ask me. Although I am rather hard of hearing, so it's probably best if you don't...

i don't think the voices are gregorian chants... they're more black gospel choir

i've heard actual gregorian chants before when i was young, and the experience chilled me to the bones... there was no musical accompaniment, just ghostly voices chanting Latin
