most mesmerising Rice song.
Hello.. No one song has opened my eyes to the transcendency of Mr Rice more than 'Face', his music burns something inside and this song explicitly took me. I'd also have to say 'Toffee pop', no specific reason as for many of his songs, its a sort of lust you feel towards it, though its only words.. oh - and Lisa Hannigan is so rediculously attractive. The first Damo song I ever heard was Blower's Daughter. I loved it and thought: "Damn!! Whoever this guy is, h's mad talented." It's still close to my heart for that reason. However, not my favorite. My favorite is maybe Lonely Soldier b/c I hate war and I'm not too fond of my president for making it. (That's all I'll say; no politics here.) It defined for me what I see in the papers daily and on CNN each night.
I also can't get over Sand. The lyrics do something to me, though I couldn't tell you exactly what. Amie has a few lines that I frequently quote and Silent Night off of Oh is amazing because Lisa is MAD talented and deserves all the recognition in the world for having a kickass voice. I'm trying to assess why I like Sand so much, but I can not. Maybe I'lll have a better explanation later. All that's worth knowing is that Damien is THE MAN!! ...end of tangent... |

Favourite Song
Chimo! I've just joined, so forgive my gatecrashing this party.
"Eskimo" is my favourite song. It's odd, awkward, sweet, it's beautiful. I can be in the worst mood, below down, and it lifts me up somewhere special. This song is a true gift. I find myself skipping Amie at the mo', only because I asked an Amy out last weekend and got knocked back. But I did get to see a spaceship. Que Sera Sera ...
