oh my god... that is an excellent price. There's no need to freak out over the fact that "O" has been released upwards of 5 times, it's a slow burner and the more the record company pushes it, the more people get to hear Damien. We'd all prefer if there was an indie sensibility to DRM, but there isn't, and because of it "O" is platinum.

Oh my God, if I knew about that offer I would have waited until now to buy O. As it turns out, it is probably cheaper just to buy the B-sides album additionally!

you've got to be kidding me. I wish the label would stop trying
to milk O for all it's worth and that Damien would put out some new
material for the first time in what>? 3 years? give me a break.

but its not milking it for all its worth!!!maybe they feel thats its a great album that just hasnt reached its full potential yet!!everyone should know how great it is and that just takes time...this way, people would be buying both records - thus getting to know Damien a whole lot quicker. more effcient (sp?)for all!

i think thats a good release... putting the 2 cd's together as b-sides on its own is 10 euro here and not worth buying as most of the tracks have been available online for some time... but its good for the new listeners

i think damien should milk it... whats the harm in making money from such a beautiful record? its not selling out... you dont see bilboards saying buy this... its giving another option.. you dont have to buy it afterall...

i reckon that this is just the way that DRM works, and probably is going to work in the future, it's not how i would do things, but then again it's not my decision is it? if it were me i would have put all the b-sides on the ep, that amounts to about 19 or 20 tracks if you count singles, the hidden tracks on the singles, soundtrack appearances, compilation appearances etc, i've spent quite some time collecting all that stuff, and now i can make my own b-sides cd with the stuff that i have (if anyone wants a copy, pm me)</font>, it clocks in at 20 seconds under 80 minutes and i'm pretty damn happy with it... you see, improvise.

I got a copy of the b-sides album for free and to be honest, if it werent for the professor / la fille danse and the live Delicate I would probably have thrown it out. although the price of this double set can't be argued with I suppose.

I hate it when first fans paid that price for just the album but now if you become a fan later, you pay the same price and get more. kind of like when you collect all the family guy boxsets and they bring out a super boxset WITH extras for LESS money....................................

I know everyone keeps saying that the record company want O to reach it's potential and attract new Damo fans but surely ANOTHER good way of doing this is for the artist to release NEW material.

A new album keeps old fans happy and at the same attracts new fans. Then when the new fans listen to how sh*t hot the new album is they go and buy O as well!!

I've done this before, bought a 2nd/3rd album from a certain artist I've only just discovered, loved it so go and buy the earlier albums as well!!!

Fans need new material,I'm sure Damien as an artist also WANTS to release new material!!

It's strange!!

theres a few (3 I think ) other versions of Cannonball that were released on UK singles.
another edited version of Volcano, uk single again.
lonely soldier acoustic version (even though its much the same)
blowers daugher live from songs from a room 1.

and I'm sure theres others too.
well done with the traclkisting order. not all the same type of songs (live, b-sides, remixes) stuck together. Edited by: Building

i actually forgot about the other version of Volcano, but then again it's just an edited version of the "O" one, isn't it? And i didn't include the other versions of cannonbal for a reason... the acoustic lonely soldier is there... i forgot about the blower's daughter from other voices too, but there's no space for it, that cd runs for 79 minutes and 40 seconds.

yeah, space is a problem. *sends out hypnotic suggestion of a double cd*
Volcano is just a shorter version alright.
oops, missed L.S. acoustic.
no cannonball versions coz they're sh*te/ not as good?
face was released on a cd too but dont have that.

yeah, it's just the if i was going to do the double cd thing i'd have included the "O" dvd and the 2 Union Chapel cd's... maybe it would have been a better idea, i don't know. I'm not sure that using 2 cd's is worth the extra versions of volcano and cannonball, mostly because i think that some of them are complete sh*te, they'd be worth skipping on an otherwise quite listenable collection.

I didn't know that Face was released... what cd is it on?

^OOOH, i didn't know that either.

the o/b-sides version is all over the record shops here too, sence before xmas. i almost bought one, but then i don't really want to own the b-sides ep and already have O. there's gotta be an end to the madness...

I think this is a fantastic deal but i must agree that maybe the record company sould release some BRAND SPANKING NEW STUFF! i mean half the B-side stuff, if not all, was available well before its commercial release on the internet anyway. I think they are all having a break now anyway so maybe this is to keep some people happy before the new album which will probabaly be late this year/early next year sometime.
