The Meteor Ireland Music Awards 2009 was launched today, Wednesday 28th January, and will be held in the RDS Dublin on St Patrick’s Day Tuesday 17th March 2009. The show will then be televised on Wednesday 18th March on RTE Two.

A limited number of tickets for the Meteor Ireland Music Awards will go on sale tomorrow Thursday 29th January costing €30.

Kings of Leon DEFINITELY shouldn't get best live performance for Oxegen. I was there, front row, and they churned out another festival gig without variation.
I know the awards are a bit of a joke now, but I just wanted to highlight this.

I agree the KOL weren't that exciting, seen alot better, bad news for us as theyve been confirmed as headline acts again..

Lisa should get that one! Not much competetion.

i think anything down to public voting in ireland can be massively rigged.. no actual prize other than the title.. least the choice awards you get €10,000 that can help with a follow-up release..
