Dear Damien Rice fans
I saw Damien Rice preform "Lonely Soldier" and was blown away by how amazing it was. I ordered the single off of Damien's site and I can't wait until it arrives. I have a friend in town for three days and I want her to hear this single so badly but it will be much longer after her departure until the single arrives here in the states. Could somebody please send me an MP3 of the song "Lonely Soldier" so I can play it for her before she leaves. I am opposed to stealing music as I have purchased the CD, but I am in a bind because I would absolutely adore to play this track for someone. Thank you so much Brian Stevens Boise Idaho evenstevens04@yahoo.com |

I don't think there's an mp3 of Lonely Soldier in circulation yet, Brian. I have a bootleg (non-PC term for an unauthorized recording of a show that is not to be bought or sold) of a gig he did in San Francisco on March 27th this year, and he opened with Lonely Soldier. Not sure but I think it may be the first time he put it out there. But to put it into mp3 (lossy) format would be a great transgression and offense to the tapers, so...... sorry. (like I know how to do that anyway!) And I haven't heard the version with Christy Moore, yet. BTW, where did you see him perform it?? Oh and.... welcome! edit: And hey!! It's like me all by myself with 20 guests/lurkers on here!! I feel out numbered!! Sign up and postroduce yourselves, people!! Hey
Thanks so much for getting back to me. He played here in my home town Boise awhile back. It was amazing and I saw the concert with the person I have visiting me. Do you think you could send that file of the recording via E-mail or IM? If you have broadband that is. You can send files via AIM, Yahoo Messenger, or MSN Messenger. If it's less than around 90 MB I think my yahoo account could hold it. It would mean so much if you could send me that WAV somehow. Thanks Brian |

Sorry, Bri- like I said, I can't (convert or send). I got the San Francisco gig recording with BitTorrent. But the new single (with Christy Moore- recorded for Irish anti-war movement benefit) is not in circulation over the net yet tomy knowledge.

Okay Brian. My window is open so I should be seeding the show for download. Just saw your post on Sharing The Groove so you have the right link- that's where I got it, too (originally posted by cnpubwear) so if your Bit Torrent window isn't open and downloading go there again and click on the link. I'll leave my window open for you! This show is in shn. format so you'll also need the shn. plug-in for WinAmp or shn. converter to listen to the files..... I'm turning into a geek! |

I don't know what's going on. It should work! Apparently this show is also available at damohub.org but you need a whole other program for that one! Arrghh!! My stars!! It is getting huge, isn't it! |

Same thing here. Could the tracker just be no longer online? Do you ever just want something to work, and it's just out of your reach? You see it there, but it's just an inch too far?

You'll need the DC++ Direct Connect client. Download it here http://www.download.com/DC-/3000-219....html?tag=lst- 0-1 and then connect to the hub with that, but read the intro andfaqsalsoto get an idea of how it works. Hope this works for you! Jeez!! We Damien fans are fairly obsessed, no? |

You're welcome, love. But cnpubwear is logged on right now so maybe he could offer some insight, too. Leave it to the experts I always say! Still can't figure out why it was rejecting the tracker.
