I think Mort is right with "Just Be Real With Me." for the name. This song is amazing.

I think the lyrics are pretty much right, I would say Vain and Bridge but I think at the end of the first verse its not you're all wrong it's "you hold on" again but I could be wrong; it's wonderful regardless. Thanks!

Edit: On a second listen, I think it's possibly "F*ck ('em) all like a broken bridge"

Oh I don't think that one is harsh, really. I had a similar idea before 'Be real with me' came to my mind.

"Just lie down
Curl up in a ball
Say I'm the one that makes you fall
(Roll/run?) away"

I think it's "Roll away" because if u listen to it again.. it's like he's sayn to curl up in a ball and roll away... it makes more sense to me and i'm sticking with roll for sure :P

other areas i'm 95% confirmed on...

"bridge" and "vain"

Updated lyrics.....

Title suggestions: Be Real With Me, Don't Come Here Anymore...

You look for something to hold onto
You look for something to pull you out
And you look around and everybody's dead
(Ya/And?) you hold on cause it's all in your head

And you're looking for some, someone to sing for
And you give it all, all in vain(/rain?)
Cause you (just?) f*ck ('em/it?) all like a broken "broo.." **line def. needs the most work**
Yeah, yeah, yeah....
So go on
Just lie down
Curl up in a ball
Say I'm the one that makes you fall
Roll(/run?) away
Like you never belonged to yesterday
f*ck off
And take your bags and (go home?)
Leave my door, don't come here anymore
no, no, no....

What's the point in painting
What's the point of being here at all
What's the point in wasting
What's the point in crawling
I've had to know
And I'd like it to be ......something
If you'll just be real with me
If you'll just be real with me
And I'll just be real with you
And I'll just be real with you
And I'll, I'll......

any corrections to the edits? Any other suggestions?

You know what I'm not sure about... the music he's playing... I mean, is he playing the lyrics over the Eskimo music or proper different chords...I'm bad at music so not sure...

he's just playing it over the chords to eskimo..

it sounds to me like he improvised the lyrics on the spot. not sure if it was meant to be another whole new song, but i suppose it could be

oh and i hear "just f*ck 'em all like a broken broom/bruise" or something.. definitely an "oo" sound though (i think)

This is how i'm keeping it for myself as for now unless someone else proves me wrong...:

i'm pretty sure that's it but i'm not gonna say i'm 100%.. but i'll say 95%

as for the tittle.. we can't guess that :P... well we could but it's a long shot... there could be a name for it and it might not be mentioned in the song, or it could have been improv like SisterMidnight suggested. for now i'm happy with "Be Real With Me" tho.

No one else hears 'like a broken brush'???? I can clearly hear a 'oo' sound as Sister said so it's a word that starts with either broo or bru... Don't hear a 'i' so I don't think it's bridge... And I think I can clearly hear the 'shhhhh' so i'd say brush... fits with the painting too

and Maria... still not hearing vain It sounds like a textbook 'v' in my opinion. Maybe it's an English/Irish 'v' rather than a Texan 'v' he he... just teasing you because of your Real Madrid avatar

I think we cannot consider it as a proper song if it doesn't have proper music. Might be in fact an improv. Anyone can call it whatever they want, I'm gonna call it Don't Come Here Anymore Improv... just renamed it on my 4shared

mmm i hear brush ... i think i was the one that added that word as an option... but then i gave in!

mmm... ha Marti your knowledge in linguistics will not make me change my mind!! you have to listen to it reeeally carefully and you'll see that he says rain... he definately does the 'r' sound!!!!! grrrrr
In your words... 'you have to put some imagination into it!!' ... hehe

oh and you making fun of my avatar doesn't bother me.... but Texan!... What!?! ... Halamadrid!!!!!!!

honestly i don't think he says 'go home' after 'take your bags'... I at least don't think we can put that in the lyrics because you can't reeeally hear anything! ... damn Damo for not singing into the microphone!!!!

And ya he's definately singing over the song... you can almost keep singing the eskimo song over the improv!!

ya....I don't think it's bridge, but I don't think bruise/broom or even brush make that much sense. But it definitely has a similar sound to them... I was also thinking maybe it was "f*ck it of like a broken broach"....but that doesn't makes much sense either

vain or rain, now... as both words work, i still hear vain more than rain. Everyone hears things differently, but i strongly think it's vain :P

brush/broom/bridge/broach/etc.: i'm having a really hard time getting the idea that it might be broom or brush or w/e.... i hear a "br im dge". I do hear the I, sometimes it can sound like "br ugh dge", but none the less the end and beginning is always the same. maybe he mumbled it since it was improv and he didn't know what he wanted to say :P. but It doesn't make sense that it would be like a broken brush or broom or w/e... that's why i like Bridge, and i hear bridge more than anything out of the suggestions made.

that's probably the last thing i'll say about this topic unless i see something that makes me say, u know wat, he/she is right or w/e.. :P i'm locked with the words i've got in there. lol

cheers

Its a /v/, I'm 100% sure, with a semester of English Phonetics and Phonolgy behind me Plus, 'all in vain' makes a wee more sense then 'all in rain'...

Of the other problematic part, I hear "broomsh", so I say its brush instead of bridge (how can someone "**** 'em all" like a bridge, brush or brooch escapes me...). It might also be an onomatopoeic word for a car speeding away.

I think we should name it Theodore for no apparent reason.

^ The whole song sounds pretty harsh, so it might be this broomstick meaning...

One further question, with this little song Never Go Down played at the end of Yoke, do you think it's a proper song, I mean, does it have its own chords or is it played over the Yoke music... I cannot tell and I cannot decide if it's another improv or a song

ya we agree it makes more sense, but rain makes a bit of sense too, he gives its all in rain/sadness...

but anyways.. haha.....maybe the question should be not if you took this class, but if you actually passed it ....Maria and I still hear "rain"

it could've been a very deep metaphor....you throw them off your chest like a broken broach...hehe, I know, it's grasping at straws

I passed a seminar and a lecture on EP&P, the former of the god of Hungarian linguistics who said that I have (or rather had, now I have a fine irish brogue, working towards the Cork dialect) the pronunciation of a rural vicar from the fifties. Still, it not hard to distinguish between a retroflexish postalveolar tap (of Irish English) and a voiced labiodental fricative.

Well I just so happen to have passed a class on....how to distinguish between a "r" and a "v" ! But what is this about you having a fine Irish brogue....I thought you were from Hungary? Or are you pulling a Colbert and trying to change your accent?

Well, you must have cheated on the exam because you don't know a thing about the topic

Since English is not my native language so I have a choice of which variant of it I speak. The usual Yank/BBC stuff is boring, so i thought why not an Irish one and after a battle between the Derry and the Cork accents, I chose the latter. I was contemplating on scottish too, but I can't do that seriously after watching so much Billy Connolly.
