Elixir. I love them. I used to buy cheap strings in the beginning, but I was recomended Elixir by a friend, and now Im never gonna go back to the cheap ones again. Clean acoustic and long lasting. This thread reminded me that I really should go out and buy new strings. Nothing beats the feeling of new strings.

Elixer's shouldn't be breaking in a week, they usually last a few months. Make sure you're stringing them properly, otherwise the tension will get them.

Hey Zach,

I use Elixir lights and they last for six months at a time (I hate to change em) and I'm a very heavy player, I use my bare fingers and I beat the crap out of em.............

What I'm thinking is this:

Do they break at the bridge piece? or elsewhere?

Cause it could be the bridge piece saddleis too sharp or too sharp an angle on the srtings especially if you had an under saddle thinline pickup installed...that could throw things off a bit......

peace
