Was anyone at the Dingle gig that's being broadcast on RTE? Was it good? Why is this gig being shown on TV? <img border="0" src= "http://www.freecfm.com/d/damien/forum/smileys/smiley5.gif"> I need answers, people!!!!

yeah I was at three of the nights in Dingle, including the damien gig and got to say hello to him afterwards. it was really excellent. they performed most of the songs from 'O' and others like Silent Night, Childish and The Professor. after they played Be My Husband, damien goes "wow, we've never played it that good before". their performance is due to be shown on March 4th on N2. the series kicks off on feb.25th with The Frames. It's a tv series featuring some of the leading names from the new wave of Irish singers and songwriters who have emerged over the past few years. the whole series is presenter by glen from the frames.

I'm really looking foward to hearing the Interference and Emmett Tinley performances again.

Thanks for that, I saw the details on the official website, but it's nice to know some of the songs he played. I wonder what ones they'll choose for the half hour?

here's the setlist that they played on the night:

La Professor & La Fille Danse, Delicate, Woman Like A Man, Cold Water / Hallelujah, I Remember, Childish, Cannonball, Volcano, The Blower's Daughter, Be My Husband, Eskimo, Silent Night (lisa).

it was more of a performance for tv rather than a regular gig. all the bands were playing to the cameras more so than the audience. damien and tomo and lisa played all the songs sitting down like at the Skylarkin' gig, and damien told some nice stories behind the songs like Cold water, Woman like a man and I remember.
