The stupid photo lab messed up my negatives, so the pictures came out with these horrible green lines across them I didn't take very many photos during the three shows that I went to because I think it'srude to take flash photography while the artists are on stage. Anyway, the pics are pretty bad, and most of them are from after the shows instead of during the shows, but I wanted to share! http://public.fotki.com/GlttrGrrl/ choose the Damien on Tour album |

Thanks! I just waited by the bus after the shows. Damien didn't come out to meet the fans after the Beacon show. I think he had a lot offriends and fans backstage that night. I didn't take pic before the Boston show, but the whole band was just hanging out in the street outside the venue. I don't know what I talked to Damien about...I asked him about some songs, about how amazing the show was, about the new album, asked him to play a song for me. I think that after the last picture, we talked about food and how great the dinner he had that night was (at Brown Sugar in Boston, for the curious types). Nothing really worth posting. |

great pics! bummer about the photo lab screwing up your negs... i would have been RIPPED as i'm sure you were... i remember seeing the band sitting on the pavement in front of their bus at the boston show too... i was wondering if anyone else recognized them because no one was going up and talking to them, but you saw them too... cool...

Yeah, I haven't had an opportunity to talk to the photo guy yet, but he's really nice and usually tries to make up for it when the lab messes up my pictures. This is the second time they've messed up my photos, and I will never use them again. I'm willing to pay more to get better developing. I actually talked to them while they were hanging out in the street before the show in Boston...that's when I requested Sand. That was such an amazing show. |

Thanks Melissa No thanks to Cille, though, for scaring the crap out of me!! My photo guy is young, and I think he just thinks I'm hot. I don't think he copies my pictures and has a collage of them at home. |

Hmmm, those green lines are from a light leak, nothing chemical. Probably not the photolab's fault, unless they're just really incompetent people who don't have a clue what they're doing and pulled the leader waaaay too far out of the canister. Most light leaks occur in the camera. Anyway, this post is probably unnecessary Great pics though!! even despite the green lines. I envy you, especially seeing that encore from the Beacon with everyone in a circle and all.Edited by: cneill

I don't think your post is unnecessary! How do light leaks happen? Could it only happen to a few frames and not the whole roll? I honestly think the people at the photo lab are idiots. This is the second roll of film I've gotten back that has been messed up. Last time they cut one of my negatives in half. grr.

Yeah, it's possible to only happen to a few frames. Were they just the last or first few, or somewhere in the middle? Were those two rolls from the same camera? did you use disposable cameras? As far as cutting negatives in half, there's pretty much no excuse for that. That should never happen by someone who knows what they're doing, or even just someone who isn't blind! If they're doing things as careless as cutting negs in half, then i wouldn't put it past them to crack the canister before developing or pull the leader too far out of the canister allowing some light to creep onto the first or last frames (depending on which way your camera winds). If the light leaks are in the middle of the roll, then it's probably from the camera, and there are numerous possibilities there. Go somewhere else next time, and if you still get light leaks then there's a good chance it's because of the camera, especially if it's green lines every time. This means light in onlythe red spectrum in leaking in somehow. If it were exposed to the full spectrum, it would turn black.
