Talking WOOHOOH! New Josh Ritter album coming soon!

CAAAAN'T WAIT!!!!: From the Josh Ritter Newsletter:

"Josh Announces His New Album!

“Lyrically, musically, and in terms of production it's the most adventurous record I've made yet and I think when you hear it you're going to be surprised. Seriously, repeatedly, and in a good way.”

These words stood out in Josh’s blog last week, when he officially announced the upcoming release of his new album, “The Historical Conquests of Josh Ritter.” Produced by Sam Kassirer, it will be out in the US on August 21, in Ireland on September 7th, and everywhere else on October 1st.

For a sneak preview of what this new album is all about, you have to go no further than the link below:

There’s a lot more exciting news, sneak peaks, and details about a full-band TOUR in the Fall to come, so be sure to visit us at the links below…

Thanks for the support!"

It's on it's first spin here, and I must say I gotta hear it some more spins before I form an opinion - I still regret having bashed 'Animal Years' after a few listen's and later falling in love with it... D'oh!

It sounds very eclectic so far, am not too happy with his fondness of double vocals on it, but i may grow to like that along the way.

He's coming to Pittsburgh in October. I missed him last time. Still a cheap ticket too!
