Aw, I'm just seeing this now, as I was about to post in the old thread!
Hope you guys had fun. I tried to get tickets for that gig, but I was too late

I just booked my flights for June (for Lisa's gigs) and managed to squeeze in a couple more days, so that I finally have some time to spend in my favourite city

Life is always better when there's a trip to Dublin in the near future.

I spent some time in the igloo today, catching up with some of the posts I missed these last couple of weeks (months) and it made me realise how much I missed this place.
Hope to see some of you again soon at a gig of some sort!

i couldn't get to sleep last night and trying to kill some time i came across this:

Thank you to all the Eskimo Friends who have been visiting our little site throughout the years! In 2002, we started the site because we wanted to help promote Damien's music around the world. We started by organizing for people to e-mail radio stations in different parts of the world to request Damien's songs, but the site kept growing and growing into a community of friends who share a love for great music, but also much more.

on home page... big fat hug to everyone, especially the two landlords of the igloo

If you seriously think there's any upside to Trump's election I'm baffled.
The man is an overprivileged racist, sexist and ignoramus.

since i'm not murican, i dont have the rite to judge them, it's their choice. It's time to murica to know the rest of the world is none of their business

We are no islands.
This will affect all of us, far beyond the American borders.
I do respect democracy, but democracy doesn't mean that racism and sexism should be tolerated, not even with a majority of the votes leaning that way.

no islands = no borders if i understand it rite?

ok srr this sound arrogant, but let's try to be a murican

abortion is murder
who this guy gonna kill? IS
build the wall to stop who? illegal immigration, not like he puts the neighbour under to concentration camp

i see too many of this

i will vote to someone promise the better things (of course, there'll be another liar like someone who need change). Why she used "man vs woman" issue. It's sexism to say vote for me because i'm a woman

i´m so sorry to interrupt this "delightful" conversation, but this is "what made you smile thread". you can create a new thread on this section, if you like.

so... this arrived in the post today

ps: oh... quick reminder, america is a continent, not a country

(Actually it's both Vere. 'America' is an accepted alternative for the US according to the Oxford dictionary, but I get your drift.)
Sorry but not sorry for previous comments in this thread, although I do admit that's not a conversation that belongs here.
I'll stop feeding the trolls now though.
Have a lovely day!

I'm sorry...

I *KNOW* It's dramatic, I know ! But the way she said it, I mean...
When I read it I got taken by surprise : I started giggling, couldn't help it...
And everytime I read it I can't help but laugh, like right now I'm writing this post and double checking spelling and BAM I'm laughing again...
I'm sorry !

So yeah... It's one of those "what made you smile" that makes me realize (again...) that, in the middle of sad events, there still is hope, so to speak, that even though we can be taken aback, stunned, frozen, flabbergasted there still is a glimpse of good humor, a spark of life inside us.

Yeah yeah yeah I'm a carebear I know... Still : that makes me smile !

i´m aware that "is is used to refer to", but it doesn´t mean that "it is" such thing, but i get you and you´re right.

oh no, that was exactly my point, the sense of belonging. i think for all have our thing to say, or to think on the matter, which is kind of sad, i guess, but no intention for anybody to apologize for anything

my smile of the day... having sleeping like a baby and waking up naturally before i got to hear my alarm

thing is, those who voted brexit regret immediately while us voter not. They know president election is not a troll. I get the vibe that u guys hate us and the election is just another chance to call them idiot

personal of course i like trump. He's been treated by the media just like mj. Mj is a lover, not a fighter. Trump is a fighter. His victory is the side i love america. Its show there're still hope in the world

but its not abt personal fav, its abt who would be the best for the job. From the POV of the outsider, i think he did good in his first 3 years. He had a lame job against virus but its something happen later, its not the reason they vote for him or for her back in 2016. So i think trump 2016 and biden 2020 are both gud choice

And for these dark current days, im very disappointed. Obama and biden are always against russia. And crimea, donetsk, lugansk, russia got bigger during their time. Turn out, trump is the best us president in no islands's criteria. Those 4 years were the most peaceful 4 years
