just browsing through Q and was reading this article on the 1010 songs that you must hear and there is a section being compiled by Katie Melua on easy listening.

THere is a bit boxed round saying her essential easy listening song is Damien Rice - THe Blowers Daughter

THis is what she says......

"This track is so gorgeous. I'm amazed he can get away with saying the line "I can't take my eyes off you," four times without souding corny, but somehow he does! I love the way Damien Rice has become successful on his own terms - he's a real original. I love this emotian he invests in his songs, and this one, especially, is so simple and spare. It's completely wonderful"
