Canciones de cuna (Lullabies)
Canciones de cuna (Lullabies) is out now exclusively in Argentina through branches of Disco. All the lyrics for this album were written by children from aged 7 to 21 and their songs were arranged and recorded by various artists. Damien has contributed his version of a song called "Look at me". Over 150 children took part in the project through various creative workshops . All proceeds from the sale of the CD will be donated to the Casa de la Cultura de la Calle to continue projects encouraging social inclusion through art for children at social risk. For each $9 raised , $2,25 goes to Casa de la cultura de la calle.

^thanks vere LOL @ "american"
doing some googling, found more info and the lyrics all lyrics were written by kids between 7 & 21 years old. over 150 kids worked in different art, music and theater workshops, so they would write down songs, ideas or stories related to dreams, songs they were sang to or songs they wish they could sing to their own kids. So then the musicians that participated in this project were asked to compose and interpret a song thinking how they would sing that lyrics to their children. something simple, small, a lullaby http://www.hacercomunidad.org/escribi/articulo/9449 lyrics: Look at me (Mírame) Look into my eyes and you´ll know that I truly love you Look into my eyes and you´ll see that no one will harm you Look into my eyes and you´ll feel that I will protect you Look into my eyes and you´ll fell that you belong Look at me, look at me and little by little be sleepy Look at me, look at me and you´ll see that the dreams will come Then close your tired eyes so wet from crying Close them and you´ll see that no one will hurt you at all Close your tired eyes and know that I truly love you Close your tired eyes and you´ll see that no one will harm you Close your tired eyes and you´ll feel that I will protect you Close your tired eyes and you´ll feel that you belong … http://cancionesdecunaccc.blogspot.c...n-rice_28.html Last edited by eva_arg; 02-16-2011 at 10:09 PM. |

marti, i think the only way to buy it is at disco (is a supermarket, hehe). i can buy it for you, if you want. it´s really cheap. let me know.
i will tell you more about the song later on. i have a lot of work, but it´s simply beautiful, and damien´s voice is very soft and sounds amazing to me. it is a truly lullaby

Vere, I would like a copy of it too, but oddly, I'm not in a big hurry for it and it looks like you may have your hands full soon, if you are the only way we can get it! I love the cover as well. Very sweet.

Verenita, paypal works like this: you create an account associated to a credit card or a bank account, and there you can receive or give money.
So once you have a paypal account you just have to give us your email account.

oh, i just got my answer... this guy is great
he said that he tried to post the info on the igloo himself yesterday. i know they will sell it out of argentina, they are trying to find the better way, but it´s not an easy thing to do, as you can imagine, cause they try to raise many for a good cause but the online sellers are looking for some financial benefit. he asked me to not to upload it, of course... but he sent me this video: i aslo asked about damien´s colaboration and he said that he got to damien because of a friend in common (i assume it´s mia) and that damien commited to the project inmediately track 14 is the spanish version of the song, sung it by a huge musician of argentina. i already respected this guy (he is a musician and an actor) but now i adore him he´s also handsome (hehe) so, i will email him again (to thank him and to ask him to keep me update about the selling)... keep your fingers crossed. i think we can wait till monday or tuesday... if nothing happens, i´ll buy it for you. what do you think? EDIT: he replied me again. they are some things regarding taxes needed to be considered... but they are working on it. they will post the news (hopefully soon) on the site.

Thanks so much for your willingness to help Verenita! I agree it's a good idea to wait till Tuesday and then if nothing happens hopefully you can help us get it.
Thanks again! |

no problem... we need a deadline regarding the online selling answer, don´t you think? then, if we don´t have any news i´ll buy the cd for you each and send it by mail, ok? we can make a list similar to the trading threads.
so far: glo marti eskimo_prague quiquemartin rachlanee (?, i´m not sure, i´t fine by me, really) lin@ (idem rach case) shar stevefox chrysler (do you want it?) marti and glo suggested that i can send all the cd for southern europe to marti and then he will send to everyone. i´m not sure if i can do that actually, cause if the people at customs open the parcel, they might thought the cd are for selling... i don´t know really. we´ll see. there´s always a way, right? so, until will we wait?
