You mean in U2's cover? if that's what you meant the backing vocals in the end of the song were by Damien himself

I was just checking some of the songs in the first post and I realized I've never heard this version of "Is that it my Friend" with Lisa.
does anyone know which gig was it?

the beginning of the song made me think of back to her man, he (nothing like that though).

one of the Orpheums shows in LA in Dec 06, I was there Lisa forgot the lyrics, which is unusual, Damo is more prone to forget lyrics than Lisa

Is That It My Friend is one of Damoīs best songs ever. Period. Love it so much. Itīs a pity he kinda forgot about it. Itīs like 1,000 better than Back to her Man
actually was thinking, Is That It My Friend would have been amazing in MFFF, would have fit perfectly with some cello/trumpets, could have replaced IDWTCY and MFFF could have been ever better

it seems to me that this is one of the songs he would throw away as it might express some feeling he wouldnīt like to hold on to, according to what he said in a few interviews... excelent song though and, again, very intense version!

the version from Boston sounds better but this has Lisa <3 even if she forgets the lyrics...
the song is kinda old cos he already played it once during the O tour, with different lyrics though... hope it eventually gets released, really think itīs Damo at its best... not sure if he abandoned cos of the lyrics/emotion, personally i donīt see how it points fingers...

this is one of my favorite Damien Rice's live performances. The way he sang it make me depressed lol but I like it. But what is the first song name exactly ? "What is this night for" or "What this night is for"? Has he ever mentioned the song's name or it's just us making it up ? |

we always called itWhat This Night is For... but itīs the wrong name,
he said the right name once in Italy, someone requested it as WTNIF and he said what? and then he said ah... and I think he said Eve and the Day??? or the Night???? Glo might remember better than me
