I know it's way too early to be thinking about more gigs but the posts about Vicar St are for the most part really depressing so I thought I'd start a new happy () post where we can look forward to seeing Damien again and hopefully without all the shouting eegits this time. Any takers??? |

That would ROCK! I want to hear more about Michelle Joey's experience meeting Damien before the Monday gig...Were you just hanging out by the venue trying to meet him before the gig? Or was it in the venue after the doors were open? Were lots of people trying to meet him when you did? It sounds like you had an awesome experience. |

Oh please call me Michelle I hate the Joey part! How about all the Eskimos fill the pit if he plays Witnness and at least that way there won't be hecklers up close???! Or even better-all of us at Vicar St.Aw such sweet dreams. I'm hoping he'll play Witnness and then tour in Sept/Oct with the new album. Wishful thinking I know but I'm already thinking about the next time I can see him live! GlttrGrrl I met him before the gig. Ironinc really. As one of my friends is blind Vicar St said we had to reserve seats (I think it's in case of fire or something). Anyway we got in early and he was twirling on one of the seats so we talked to him for a few minutes and got our albums signed before everyone elsecame in.He's exactly as I thought he was-really nice, friendly and down-to-earth. Roll on the next time-I'll have my camera ready this time! |

YES! I am going to Philly and NYC and maybe Boston, although I haven't figured it all out yet. Of course, things could get busy at work and drag me away from the shows, but I hope not! I can't wait.

i cant believe that was you that went in. did you see the queue forming at the door to the bar? i was at the top and i was curious as to why people went in while he was in there. i thought you guys won a competition or something. was he soundchecking? did you comment on his *ahem* questionable attire? actually, i hear the circus look is back in these days!

You saw me Awww I was queuing in the bar-the girls were gone to get t-shirts and came back to say we got reserved seats It was pretty cool seeing the looks on everyone's faces I have to say! No he wasn't sound-checking, just smoking and drinking an orange frothy drink in a wine glass ( Cosmo someone said it might be) and a Ballygown! Didn't ask him about his shirt I meant to but I was too excited and then the Vicar St guys said they had to open doors so he had to go :-( I thought it was kinda cool though, very unique,I'd love to know where he got it! |
