if you do a search you should be able to find some good stuff. there was a thread a few months ago that was full of opinions and many assumptions where some were right and some were just completey off lol
do a search though and after a bit you should find what you are looking for!

there is a search button on the page. it is near your private message link where it says "weclome (insert username here)"
just try that and search till you find it!

The story must be based on some real Damien relationship, no one can made up feeling like those in the song...
Just the other week someone mentioned that it was a relationship with his clarinet teacher's daughter... but maybe it was just a joke... The only other thing I remember is that the title is based on a book by Daphne de Maurier (not sure about the spelling) the same lady who wrote Rebecca or Jamaica Inn. This book is actually called The Glass Blower and it happens in France and it's supposed to be a super romantic novel. The main character in the book is the blower's daughter. So the part of the song in which he sings "the colder water, the blower's daugher, the pupil in denial", I think these are references to romantic books, and he uses them to mean that their relationship was like those books. not sure if this helps... |

The Blower's Daughter does refer to his clarinet teachers daughter... or so he has said. But I don't know if there was a relationship or just an infatuation.

you know, when i saw "closer" at the cinema, they traslationed the song... and they wrote "the blower´s daughter" like "la hija de un presumido" (i hope some of you can undestand spanish). it´s like "the conceited´s daughter". so, it was a little confusing, and so curious to me... so, thanks again! and i´m sorry about that infatuation... i do (!!!) know what it means! verenita |

Verenita,
I remember a topic about TBD2 which turn out to be a whole discussion on TBD in which some people were saying TBD refers to a classic romantic book, some other people saying it's literal and it's his flute professor's daughter and some other people saying TBD = LISA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here's the link http://www.eskimofriends.com/forum/s...interpretation |
