i think you already told me that you have a friend who sings in a choir. what kind of music do they sing? classical, musical, gospel,... a bit of everything?

ooooooh, i'm just so looking forward to our concerts starting next friday until sunday the week after. I'll be singing Beethoven's 9th Symphony, Christmas Oratorio by Saint-Saens in the St. Stephens Cathedral (one of the famous landmarks from Vienna/Austria), south american christmas songs and a piece by my conductor (the first time it's going to be sung, ever!). I just love the programme!

And then I already know that I'll be singing the Carmina Burana, the Polovetsian Dances by Alex Borodin and maybe a Motett for 40 (!!!) voices by Thomas Tallis - Spem in Alium. And then there are some other things we might be doing but they aren't sure yet. Maybe something by Rheinberger or so. We'll see...

I just haven't been feeling so good in a long time! This music and singing with other people just fills my heart with warmth and light! - Which is pretty good when it's getting darker and colder outside

i told you indeed (now i remember, on skype, he). she sings in two choirs and they both do a bit of everything... even a bit of acting. they are very good as far as i could see.

i´m glad for you... i don´t know a single thing about choirs, but listen to them singing gives me the chills!

my friends told me that they´re burning in buenos aires... but it´s quite hot in here too (and people from mendoza told this is the driest spring they´re having in years... how lucky am i? my eyes can´t cry anymore because of the dryness... not really ).

but regarding your question (*cough*), mendoza is great and i´m having the best time in here... i know i have to come back to buenos aires in two months but i could live in here forever (after spending a year or so in ireland of course). thanks for asking abrazotes

i just had choir practice and i had to sing up to the "a" on the second ledger line and it wasn't a problem for me at all - i was so perplex because i've never sang up that high. i'm not even a soprano but a mezzo - so i guess i'm getting better it's just so motivating!

I absolutely despise Christmas shopping, and usually make presents for everyone. I had to go to Walgreens today and was being a total grinch about the lame Christmas music they were playing and then The Blower's Daughter came on as I was leaving.

U2 are playing in the city where I live in March. not only that, they're bringing Muse as their support band!! I love them, I saw them in 2008 and it was one of the best shows I've been to.

thanks

the thing is there can't be any more huge shows at River's stadium unless everyone is sitting down (laaaaame).
Still surprises me a lot considering in July we'll host the Copa America and the opening ceremony and first game are here. not that I'm complaining about any of that

firstly i had a lovely night last night watching El Clásico - the buzz around barcelona after they walloped madrid 5-0 was incredible!

and secondly i'm in the library trying to study karl marx through spanish, and it's raining outside and it's frickin' freezing, but i found a random tiny heater in the library and it is currently warming me right up

edit: to make an already good day even better.. i just got an email from my university inviting me to apply for a college scholarship

Livo, good luck with the scholarship!

My shiny new iMac arrived in the mail yesterday and I'm a bit in love. Spent all day yesterday avoiding my upcoming tax-law-exam-of-death by playing around with it and getting everything set up (took me forever to transfer all my music!). Then christened it by playing O from start to finish (which I haven't done in a long, long time).

I don't know why I waited so long to get this thing!

oh no, of course not in terms of quality. I meant it as it's the second cup in importance of the continent. as local champions play the Libertadores (=~ UCL) and after it there's this cup.
still, thanks
