You're favourite Damien Lyric, and why
what's your favourite? Or the one you appreciate most, and why?
I absolutely love "And I know I make you cry, and I know sometimes you want to die, but do you really feel alive without me?" I my love for it is coupled with the melody and the accompniment, and also the way in which he sings it - it's just beautiful. The whole song, in fact, is just amazing - lyricly, melodically, vocally - it's just incredible. I do have some other favourites but I'd have to have a think. x |

there are too many to pick just one but for times sake i will just list one that comes to mind first:
What am I darlin'? A whisper in your ear? A piece of your cake? What am I, darlin? The boy you can fear? Or your biggest mistake? |

as lyrics go this one is class, not just the words but the way it's sung...
'i wanna hear what you have to say about me/hear if you're gonna live without me/i wanna hear what you want/i remember december/i wanna hear what you have to say about me/hear if you're gonna live without me/i wanna hear what you want/whatever you want' also for the singing as much as the words 'what i am to you is not real/and what i am to you you do not need/and what i am to you is not what you mean to me/give me miles and miles of mountains and i as for the sea' and as we've discovered on another thread...(tee hee) 'remove the stain of my love/paper maché'

"And we always seem to need the help
Of someone else To mend that shelf Too many books Read me your favourite line" From older chests. It's wonderful imagery and just so true, and idk it just struck me as being so universally true yet deeply personal at the same time. Then there's the literal and figurative meaning of books. it's just soo good! |

"You know when you've found it,
There's something I've learned 'Cause you feel it when they take it away" -Amie "I could wait for you Like that hole in your boot Waiting to be fixed" -Prague "You give me miles and miles of mountains And I ask for the sea" -Volcano "So why d'you have to lie? ''So why do you fill my sorrow
With the words you've borrowed From the only place you've known And why do you sing Hallelujah If it means nothing to you Why do you sing with me at all?'' ''i can't take my eyes off you'' ''it's not hard to fall, when you float like a cannonball'' ''is he dark enough to see your light?'' ...all combined with the ideal mellodies! |

Accidental Babies
“But do you really feel alive without me? If so, be free If not, leave him for me” Rootless Tree ” F*ck you, f*ck you, love you And all we've been through I said leave it, leave it, leave it It's nothing in you And did you hate me, hate me, hate me Then hate me so good That you can let me out, let me out, let me out, let me out Let me out, let me out, let me out, let me out” I really like this one how he throws in “love you,” because I feel like I can relate to this song so well. Just yelling out your anger of “f*ck you” but then saying “love you” because through all the anger… you still love them Elephant “So why d'you have to lie? I take it I'm your crutch The pillow in your pillow case Is easier to touch” “What's the point of this song? Or even singing? You've already gone, why am I clinging? Well I could throw it out, and I could live without And I could do it all for you I could be strong Tell me if you want me to lie” Cheers Darlin “You give me three cigarettes to smoke my tears away” “What am I darlin'? A whisper in your ear? A piece of your cake? What am I, darlin? The boy you can fear? Or your biggest mistake?” this is it for now. i'll play more later, but i don't wanna spoil all of my fun at once!!!! also, all of delicate just chokes me up. Lonelily really gets me also and all of I Remember... especially damiens part
