So my roomate and I decided to make the trip from Phoenix on Saturday for the show. I recently moved here from the east coast (where I was close enough to Boston to see Damien 3 times previously), and I didn't know if he's likely to come to Phoenix anytime soon...it was a pretty easy call. I've never been to California before, and I was wondering if anyone had any tips on places near the venue worth checking out? Any places for good food, or a decent bar for after the show? Our flight back to Phoenix is at 6:45 AM Sunday, so it's either go out and have some fun after the show or go sleep at the airport. Maybe we'll meet some of you guys at the venue, thanks in advance for any help, Mike PS - Is this show Damien solo, or is the full band going to be there...not that it really matters, just curious. |

You can have some really good Thai food at a place called Toi on Sunset, they are open until about 3am I think. Santa Monica and Sunset run parallel to each other and are right next to each other.Sunset is a pretty bad street but Santa Monica is a little better even though they are right next to each other. My best friend lives in burbank and we are also going to the show. I will ask her if there is anywhere safe to hang out for the evening.

It's pretty much next to the Beverly Hills area as well ( whether you consider it *safe* or not is another story lol )

It's West Hollywood. There's tons</span>
to do. Whether you want to eat, drink, or just plain walk around; it's pretty much all at your fingertips. Clubs, bars, restaurants, strip clubs...I could go on. It's all a matter of what/how much you want to do in the time that you have. |

Yeah, WeHo (short for West Hollywood) is a happening place. It's
like being in the West Village in NYC or Dupont Circle in DC - lots of clubs and bars, many gay clubs and bars. Bars here close early, though. Stay off of the Sunset Strip (in your car that is) after 10 or 11pm - there are anti-cruising laws, tons of traffic and no parking for less than $10. Santa Monica and Sunset are NOT parallel to each other, which I was painfully reminded of on Sunday when I decided to walk from Sunset to Santa Monica on Doheny. Anyway, Toi (the Thai Restaurant) is open until 4am. |

So does anyone have the specific address for Toi? Or maybe a cross street? I feel better if I can mapquest directions ;-). Also, can someone recommend a good bar nearby for after the show? Thanks for the help, Mike |
