Anyway, I'll definitely be going to the Fillmore show in November, and you all may want to check out KFOG.COM, as they will be broadcasting the show sometime soon on either their "Acoustic Sunrise" or "Archives" shows... |

the great american show was f**king brilliant. (even with a few crackle and pops in the sound!) really sent me and all else there to highest heights. what a talent. truly one of the best concerts i've ever been to. and i've been to a ton. the great american is the perfect concert hall too. big enough but still with intimate feel. i'll have towrite more on it later. damiens energy was unstoppable... and the encore was great too... broughtpedestrian up and they all switched instruments for 'cheers darlin' - drummertook lead vocals for that! very fun. the ending medley was great too. damien is def. one of my all time favorites to date. nearly ever other person in the concert hall had an irish brogue! surprise. surprise. -already got my tix for the next one at the fillmore. can't wait. the only way to top it is to have lisa in the mix! hopefully she'll be able to make itnext go 'round. cheers darlin's - cat |

Hiya - I was on holiday from Scotland with my wife and we went to the Frisco gig too. I enjoyed the whole night from the second row. I can't remember the name of the first support act lassie, but she was pretty good. Pedestrian were good too - lots of electronic toys and pedals and an admirable stance of being independent, not looking for a label and selling CDs only at their apparances - good guitarist too. Damien Rice was brilliant - better than I was hoing for and I'm now a definate fan. I too enjoyed the swap-instrument Cheers Darlin' and the general "jam" atmosphere thereafter. I noticed it was being filmed on a handheld camcorder from back/side stage and would do anything for a copy of that! I also thought that Damien would have like more wine on stage - I think only two bottles were shared out for the jam session - although the drummer calmed his nerves for singing by downing two full glasses pretty quickly!!! Back home in Scotland now and looking forward very muchto his February show in Glasgow.

Woah. Damo played the Great American Music Hall?! He's really moving up in the States! I figured he'd play Cafe Du Nord and leave it at that. I love the GAMH, though. Wish I still lived there. |
