Been wondering about desole myself, shahar. Tried to run it through a cheap-o french and italian translator, and got nothing. Anyone in the widespread EF universe know?

ah, i have just found out. It means, in french - "afflicted" - in the sense of "i am."

so he's saying "i am afflicted."

desolé in french means to be sorry.

je suis desolé = i am sorry.

i was taught this in french.
but if its wrong please correct me.

ooh interesting. You are probably right.. but babel fish says not, hehe. in the french dictionary it has (je suis) after the word. I copied and pasted into babel fish, so i wrote:

desole (je suis)

(you have to have the accents in the right place on desole though)

then it comes up as: afflicted (i am)

but you know what these things are like.

but there's two accents in the word: désolé

i'm new to the forum here, i have somthing i would like to share,
this link if of this girl from the uk.

and an amazing cover she does of cannonball,
it's not the upmost best guitar work,
i don't believe she wanted or tried to copy,
she just simply sang the song
it's a beautiful cover

yeah desolé is defo sorry in french. french people wouldn't say je suis desolé, they'd just shorten it to desolé

She's from the UK? My god she has a better American accent than most Yanks do!

Actually, that's pretty depressing; that's what a lot of popular music about does these days
