I have finally gotten around to weeding through my photos, and I have picked fifty good ones to share with everyone. I won't post them all here, mind you, but you can find them here:

fantastic
Jwelsh you have to tell me what camera you have and what settings you used. I am so going to buy the same one.
You must have been to my immediate right. I was next to Yvonne the blonde in front who kept dancing all night. |

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. We were about four or five people back, smack in the center. With a few shorter people right in front of me, I was able to get some nice shots. And it helped that the lighting was so varied; I could wait for the right shot or the right lighting, depending on who I was looking at.
I have an Olympus C-730 camera with a 10x optical zoom. The zoom is what really helps, as the speed and low-light quality isn't the best. I was using an ISO of 400; the exposure compensation was +2.0; and my shutter speed was between 1/40 (or so) and 1/160. |
