WAV. to MP3??? is this musically possible??
i have my 16track recorder and recorded one or two tracks and had to finish the product as a WAV. file.
i have a converter for WAV. to MP3 but it turns out crappy quality. the WAV. file plays at 705kbp/s the MP3 file plays at 32kbp/s what are my options??? do i have options? if it matters the song is 8:03 long and hence 42mb for WAV. that is.. any experience anyone?

You burn to wav and find a decent vehicle for the FhG encoder, then you can encode up to 320kbps, although 192 would be perfectly listenable. I can email you something to do it with if you'd like.

dbPoweramp converter is lush
if not, u could burn em to cd, and then rip em back at 320 on wmp or realplayer or whatever you use

Well really you should be using EAC (exact audio copy) to copy anything if you're doing it, it's really the only one that doesn't cut the (already dire) quality to make things happen faster. Windows Media Player tends to report everything you're doing without your consent, it also makes .wma files instead of .mp3, which is a bad thing (.wma are riddled with digital rights management software... not good).
