You're favourite Damien Lyric, and why
what's your favourite? Or the one you appreciate most, and why?
I absolutely love "And I know I make you cry, and I know sometimes you want to die, but do you really feel alive without me?" I my love for it is coupled with the melody and the accompniment, and also the way in which he sings it - it's just beautiful. The whole song, in fact, is just amazing - lyricly, melodically, vocally - it's just incredible. I do have some other favourites but I'd have to have a think. x |

there are too many to pick just one but for times sake i will just list one that comes to mind first:
What am I darlin'? A whisper in your ear? A piece of your cake? What am I, darlin? The boy you can fear? Or your biggest mistake? |

as lyrics go this one is class, not just the words but the way it's sung...
'i wanna hear what you have to say about me/hear if you're gonna live without me/i wanna hear what you want/i remember december/i wanna hear what you have to say about me/hear if you're gonna live without me/i wanna hear what you want/whatever you want' also for the singing as much as the words 'what i am to you is not real/and what i am to you you do not need/and what i am to you is not what you mean to me/give me miles and miles of mountains and i as for the sea' and as we've discovered on another thread...(tee hee) 'remove the stain of my love/paper maché'

"And we always seem to need the help
Of someone else To mend that shelf Too many books Read me your favourite line" From older chests. It's wonderful imagery and just so true, and idk it just struck me as being so universally true yet deeply personal at the same time. Then there's the literal and figurative meaning of books. it's just soo good! |

"Come all ye reborn Blow off my horn I'm driving real hard This is love, this is porn God will forgive me But I, I whip myself with scorn, scorn I wanna hear what you have to say about me Hear if you're gonna live without me I wanna hear what you want I remember december" - I Remember "So fu*k you, fu*k you, fu*k you And all we've been through I said leave it, leave it, leave it It's nothing anyway" - Rootless Tree ****this one is prolly my fav. at the moment**** "What am I darlin'? A whisper in your ear? A piece of your cake? What am I, darlin? The boy you can fear? Or your biggest mistake?" - Cheers Dalring ****my other favorite**** those are just a few for now. i'll play more later after others post

I don't wanna pray for what is not right
And I don't wanna beg for what is not mine I don't wanna rock the road between dreams and worldly things I could charge, and I could really try But I don't wanna be the brave one In a senseless fight I, I, I just wanna be here tonight

"Bleed it, bleed it, bleed it, There's nothing in you" ?? I'm not 100% sure about the bleed it part - in fact it does sound more like leave, but I'm positive it's "there's nothing in you" anyone know the official lyrics? x |

But whatever the proper lyrics are I still love the chorus of rootless tree. When I'm feeling pissed and upset it makes me feel better in a strange 'I-don't-give-a-damn' kind of way. Oh, and I love that end bit in Cannonball... "it's not hard to fall And I don't want to scare her It's not hard to fall And I don't wanna lose It's not hard to grow When you know that you just don't know" For me there's just something special there-it stands out everytime I listen to it. |

well, the first time around damien says "bleed it, bleed it, bleed it" but then every other time after that he says "leave it, leave it, leave it"
so, it says both!

Are we talking about the Professor? Listened to it performed at Cornucopia, Tourcoing and the Paradiso - and it's definitely DAY. You put the seed of doubt in my mind, mind you.

Tiredness fuels, empty thoughts.
Find myself, disposed.- Eskimo I find such strong emotion in these quietly sung words. Just, really powerful when I'm feeling down and thinking about life. and... I gave me away I could have knocked off the evening But I was lonelily looking for someone to hold. In a way, I lost all I believed in And I never found myself so low.- Lonelily Simply extraordinary. I can't express how much I adore his music. I've never been moved by any music like I am by him. He's something else. Really. |

I shiver to all his song, I think I'm simply in love
