Hey people I have been trading C.D's with a group of people (mainly friends and word of mouth etc) for ages now and would like to know your opinions on the following - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m&category =58594&item=4053952404&rd=1 It is obvious bootleggers just take advantage of legit traders and make good money out of it Over £40!!!!! Personally this to me is wrong and would like to know your views on it all!!!!!! |

What can you do about it? I have been looking through previous conversations on this web site about it and frompeoples comments a lotthink it's wrong!! I am still waiting for C.D's I've bought from a seller on ebay (may even be this one) that I paid for nearly 2 months ago! ha, ha ,ha - not much hope really!! Before looking on this web-site i didn't even know you could trade etc so there must be loads of people out there who like me are willing to spend money of live C.D's! Like i say before I found out the amount of proper fans who trade freely just through the love & appreciation ofa certain artist i would probably happilyhave paid £40 for 4 x live Damo shows AND WHEN YOU DON'T EVEN GET THE C.D'S IT RUBS EVEN MORE SALT IN THE WOUND!

This seller is a pain in the *****. I reported him to ebay, but apparently nothing happened! If other ppl report him too, it might work, who knows? So come on people, report the mean ebay seller!!

I think somebody mentioned that before but for some reason it won't work...

I think theres a second chance option where if the person who wins the bid pulls out or doesn't pay the seller can offer it to the 2nd highest bidder! Maybe thats why it wouldn't work!! I think it should be ebays responsibility to stop bootlegging!!! as soon as they receive an email about a specific sale being a bootleg they should stop the auction and email the seller telling them they can;t do it!! ha, ha Listen to me all bitter because i've been conned!!! ha, ha!!

I just think it's wrong someone can make £40 plus from gig's he has probably downloaded or traded with someone else (who genuinly thought they were helping someone) for free! Him burning these 4 disc from his comp has cost no more than 5 pounds at the most! To me it's robbery & gets me angry! BYJL - all I can say is you learn from your mistakes! |

It gets me very angry too... Brian, another problem with your suggestion is that the seller might then alert Ebay and we'd get banned.

it's disgusting those guys make money on other people's hard work like that . are traders and tapers ever discussing to make the open trading community more closed to avoid this? i'm not really supporting the idea to close things up, just wondering what 'hard core' traders think..?
