Don't worry sister, I'm having a bad day with technology today...
By the way, did you guys watch James Blunt? Surprised he didn't play You're beautiful. He did a cover of Cat Stevens' Wild World... no comments |

they replayed the UK stream here in the US, so here is the whole set with damien and david gray if you want to save it to your hard drive. if someone knows how to convert it from that new real player format feel free (and let us know because i tried)
for all you billy corgan fans, smashing pumpkins just started on the US feed |

I'm in Houston and all i could see was David Grey performing Babylon then they cut it to the black eyed peas. This was on Bravo, and they are mixing all the performances in some weird way.
I do know that NBC has the new york concert live right now and they are doing highlights of the other concerts from time to time. If you want to see Damien go to the youtube links in this thread, its lots easier. hope this helps! Cheers! |

Thanks! I noticed they've been showing everything weird, cutting to different countries and all, which I guess actually makes sense. Did you get to see Damien?

http://liveearth.msn.com/ the concert schedule is here: http://liveearth.msn.com/about/factsheet which has local and EDT start times (but i'm CDT so i'm still transposing time zones in my head.. it's a little confusing..) but then some of the streams are being replayed, because for instance the australia stream actually started 8:00 last night my time, but i've watched it be replayed twice today (the replays of the live streams play the sets in their entirety with no cutaways, unlike the highlights) on TV in the US Bravo has been broadcasting the event all day, and right now it's on NBC too Last edited by SisterMidnight; 07-08-2007 at 01:41 AM. |

What they might be doing right now on Bravo is showing the entire show(though this may be an obvious fact, all this multiple channels and time zone thing is confusing me), all of the shows combined. Right now The Smashing Pumpkins are performing, and if they go in order(according to msn), Roger Waters and The Police will be next, then the UK show will start. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Nop, didn't get to see him on tv because they cut it and on the webcast i kind of woke up too late ... : ( but i did get to see it on youtube. Awesome performance, I do believe, now that i opened it, that they are repeting the concerts on the webcast site. you can check there. Cheers! |

For those in US/Canada, they're doing a recap of all the concerts on NBC & CTV. It was supposed to go from 8pm - 11pm (EST), so they're almost at the end.
But tune in if you want to see The Police + John Mayer + Kanye West doing Message in a Bottle, which closed out the NYC show. |

At last I managed to hear Que Sera, and I think it was amazing and totally out of place and that's what made it good. I mean, it was like Bob Geldof playing Too Late God at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert: the least thing you'd expect to be played to a 80.000-strong crowd but somehow still working. Molt bé!

I think the biggest thing that has been overlooked are the modified lyrics. Take another listen to the duet. I thought it was a nice addition to the climate crisis cause.

When I was just a little boy I asked my father, how would it be Would I be able to play in the trees? Cause they're cutting down forests and spreading disease And here's what he said to me... Que sera sera... When I grew up and fell in love I asked my sweetheart what lies ahead Will there be rainbows day after day Will we become just another cliché Having it all, yet throwing it away Here's what my sweetheart said Que sera sera... Now I have children of my own they may ask their father what will we be Will we be bitter, filled with regret Will we be choking on our own **** I tell them tenderly Que sera sera...

The second verse sounds Gray'esque, reminds me of 'Birds without wings'. Coulda been a brilliant song for the occasion too.

I thought they did a great job both with their own songs and the rewritten duet. I wish they had been given more songs to sing, but it was an amazing set.

Thank you SisterMidnight for posting the file for the whole set, I was otherwise occupied and couldn't watch the live transmission although am in in UK. I think I would have been somewhat upset when the BBC cut away from Damien at the beginning of The Blower's Daughter (slight understatement here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
