what are baby guitars? i asking for a new axe for xmas, and im thinking
about asking for a baby taylor (due to the reasonable pricing). is it worth
it? and how is it different from a 'full' guitar?

Simply size, its smaller, has a shorter neck etc .. If I were you I'd go for a full size (unless you are 7-11 years old!)

hey thanks guys! ive looked around and decided that the baby probably
isnt for me; it looks like theyre pretty much for people who do a lot of
traveling and need to sacrafice sound quality. i swear i saw a smaller
guitar behind damien on his austin city limits performance tho.... am i
seeing things? if not do u know what songs he uses this thing for?

he's got a baby taylor.

the story goes:
he was told he had to get a second guitar to have on stage cause he had to be more professional now he's playing bigger venues (he couldn't leave ppl waiting while he changed broken strings etc..).

he said fine, but that he wanted to get a small guitar so it wouldn't take up much space when travelling around.

he doesn't use it too often, but i've seen him use ita couple of times and he seems to really like it (not as much as his lowden tho).

thanks banjaxed, now im torn again between getting a mildly cheapo full
sized acoustic and the baby taylor! i have a pretty cruddy fender that i
stupidly plastered with stickers, not realizing that i would be restricting
the quality of the sound that came from the guitar, and i want something
that will sound good thatll cost my folks no more than 300 dollars.
hmmm....

i was gonna get a baby, but the only bad thing about them is that they wont take a bang, cuz they are so delicate, and they dnt plug in.

I have one of those too....It was my primary guitar, real bright sound, good for normal to light playing......bad for heavy playing/fingerstyle thrashing......
