Yeah, they still used to do that fourty years ago, because they thought that the devil got into a leftie. [img]smileys/smiley7.gif[/img] My dad was a victim of this either. He was left-handed, but they forced him to write with the right hand. And I watched him over the years...maybe it has other reasons, but...he's got all the signs of the typical 'I was forced to write with my right hand which causes "damage" to my brain' illness: nervous, fussy, irascible, difficulties in concentrating etc. [img]smileys/smiley18.gif[/img] I think, the older he gets the more he can't control all this and the more the problems of this show itself. [img]smileys/smiley5.gif[/img]

But that was just an example. I've heard of a lot of people who where unnaturally forced either and now do not have any problems. Strange. Edited by: Hendrik

That is fascinating Hendrik, I didn't realise how common that is! (or was)


My Grandmother is wonderful- a real perfectionist and good at everything she does, so I guess fussy would describe her in a way, but she is a very rational and lovely person.


And Christian, my right handed writing is far neater than my left! (and I shall PM you your special banner tomorrow [img]smileys/smiley2.gif[/img])

I'm a leftie! [img]smileys/smiley4.gif[/img]And i'm also doing a degree in pharmacy at uni and apparently about 10% of pharmacists are left-handed, even though only about 7% (?) of the population is left-handed. thats what my lecturer told me anyway, some useless information for y'all!
