Manu, merci beaucoup, mon ami eskimo!
Ce "boot" est vraiment magnifique! Okay, since I'm also a little bit obsessed with this Lisa situation I listened to Damien's words at the end of the show for about 10 times and what I hear is: "We wish her mighty." I have no idea if that's a common English expression, though. But it does really sound sincere, not bitter or something. But that doesn't explain anything, does it? |

Cheers Darling was fun, sounded like one man musical, i heard some dog barks in the middle of the song, were there dogs in the venue?.

Thanks Manu for the boot ! I have also taped the show (like the Trianon 2 years ago), I was on the floor, middle next to the soundboard table. Can I have your gear info ? I use a RH10 Hi-MD in PCM mode with a ECM-719 mic. I wanted to edit my boot and post it on DimeADozen next week, I'll check if your version is better than mine.
Anyway, I have also taped the Magic Numbers opening set, that really blew me away. What a bass sound !!! Both sets are 2h39m long, it should make 2 great CD's of music ! |

well... i´ve got it already, but not wachting yet...
as i always say... thanks is such unfair word!... you think about all of us, even when you don´t know the most of us and shared all this stuff with us just to make us happy... this is so overwhelming, in the good sense, of course... man, you made our day/s (i feel like i´m kind of stupid right now... how can´t i find the perfect words?) and many more!

thanx again manu, gave it a listen today, good quality, but as with the earlier show it is very quiet, low volume. thanx for all your hard work, still trying to choose between buying a zoomH4 an an edirol, anybody know how big an edirol is? they say the H4 is kinda big, might be a deciding factor.

I think what he says in Sleep is:
"Id like to dedicate this night to lisa...We miss your magic" |

Merci beaucoup!
I think he says "We'll misss your magic", and this future tense does not sound too good...

magic...
Hi,
Was at the Grand Rex gig on Monday - thought it was absolutely fantastic. I have to say from where I was sitting I thought Damien said ' I dedicate this evening to Lisa - I wish her magic' which probably doesn't shed any light on the situation at all and certainly doesn't appear to make much sense. All the same it doesn't sound like he's saying so long, farewell to me...for what that's worth! |

Thanks so much for the recording Manu, it's been a great listen.
Damien really seems to end the show on a sad note though.

I'm sorry, didn't feel like reading the whole thread to find out whether the 'end' of the song 'Fool' (the taratataa) of the bootleg has a name too...
Damien played the end of the song, the taratatata (or something like that) in Tilburg as well, at the end of Cheers Darlin', and it was the end of the concert as well. Was a great choice ending like that, with a burstout like Taratatata faster and faster. Does the 'thing' has a name too? Somebody posted 'Little Italian Town' somewhere, is this the name of the 'taratata'? |

Message for Manu
Thanks in advance I guess I want to say as I too am unable to open any of the files up without a password etc. I must say though, like quite a few who have eventually replied with thanks that you are kind with your time to go to,record and convert countless hours of magical Damien music. Its great that despite the new larger impersonal venues it is still possible to capture intimate shows. Long may it continue. Sounds too like Lisa has spread her wings and we shold look forward to lots of fab new recordings from her like Vyvienne.
Encore Manu! |
