I did like the song, but I kind of would of like to see them do more then just that one Bee Gees song. Have they played together previously, and if so do they often ???

Ramo was anticlimactic in my opinion. As the two humans that have shaped my world for the past four years came together, I must say that my expectations were not met. Their interactions both musically and personally appear to be rudimentary, but this does not extract from me all hope. All day I've been trying to think of a good collaborative song for them. Any creative ideas?

hey guys, u should just take it as a very nice moment, for sure there are lots of better songs they could have done together, for sure the split screen is a bit cheesy, but man, these 2 guys together are beautiful.
I thimk theire voices matches and its all so warm, so... i cant find an english word, sorry. Anyway, I think its just a nice moment

Anyone working on converting this to mp3? I was gonna pay $15 for a program that allows you to rip audio from YouTube videos, but figured it would be turned into audio before long. I might actually do it another way tonight or tomorrow. If I do, I will make sure to share.

Ok, I actually ripped the audio. At the time, I have no way to up the file. I would gladly send it to someone and then they can up it. The place I usually host my files seems down.

I'm a bit annoyed that they edited out the segment at the start when Ray said to Damo, "I wish I could quit you."
At least we know now how James Morrison was spawned... he's Ramo's lovechild! I liked it, but hey, you can mix amazing individual ingredients together and the result isn't half as good as when they are alone... I'm thinking Chocolate and Sea Bass for example... on their own, AWESOME... together... um?

First off....they were doing a song TOGETHER........it wasnt a competition. So the Damien is better than ray and vice versa is pointless. Ray has more soul than any artist ive heard in ages. Damiens music puts me in a trance like no other artist has ever been able to do. They both are FanF-ingtastic. I thought it was great..i cant stop listening to it and i feel that if they play together more there are going to be some insane performances in the future

Well, I've never been a Bee Gees' fan, but I've heard Ray's (solo) version before and I liked it, and I thought Damien added something special to it...I'd love to hear them sing together more.

I hope they continue to work together....can't compare the two, completely different artists with different strengths. I quite enjoyed watching that...never been a bee gees fan myself but I like the lyrics to that song *sigh*
Did Damo forget part of the lyrics? If anyone has the portion where they were interviewed together I'd love to see

I realize the McDonalds/organic comment and the ones that followed may have been made in jest (sorta), but I would like to add my 2 cents McDonalds is fast food crap to satisfy the masses so the implication here is that McDonalds=Ray? Come on guys, Damien wins the prize, Ray wins the prize. Both are great, end of story. I realize the sun sets and rises on Damien's ass ONLY for some of you, this is a Damien fan forum after all, we all love him otherwise we would not post here....but to put Ray's music in the "McDonalds" category is just ridiculous. There is so much TOTAL CRAP out there in today's music industry like Britney and Jessica Simpson, etc...now that would be considered "McDonalds" in my opinion....they stand for everything that Ray (and Damien) is NOT. Force fed overproduced nonsense to sell a million records to the public sheep (ahem, McDonalds food). No-talent gyrating bimbos on MTV for profit profit profit. Ray may not be your cup of tea, you may not get him, you don't have to like him but the man has a talent that speaks to a lot of people...to put him in the same category as the above mentioned...well, I just don't see how you can. peace y'all |

i was being entirely facetious. the sun doesnt rise and set on damo, more like the sun rises and sets on bach, beethoven, amos, dylan... etc. although it is my firm belief that Damien Rice is this generation's Bob Dylan, which is probably the nicest thing anyone has ever said about him.
oh and Ray isn't McDonalds, he's Subway, yet Damo remains the organic cafe. oh and the above mentioned gods. well they are nectar and ambrosia. |

I disliked the Beegees enough that way back when I was in "Jesus Christ Superstar" I always changed the lyrics in rehearsal from "This Jesus" to "The Beegees": "Must die! Must die! The Beegees must die! The Beegees must, Beegees must, Beegees must die!" Damo did technically fudge the lyrics a tad in there but in my opinion he made them better since those two lines were pretty lame originally: "You aint got to be so blind And I'm blind, so very blind" He changed them to: "How you got to be so unkind Am I blind? Have I grown blind?"
