Damien announces: "There won't be another album" :-(

Damien Rice made a shock announcement on air tonight and he said that he won't be releasing any more singles or albums. He said "O" was a "once off" moment and that he just doesn't feel the need to follow it up anymore, following years of attempting to record a follow-up, and he said "I've finally realised that I just have no real interest in making another album. O was my moment of glory, obviously I wouldn't change it for the world but that's all I feel the need to contribute now. I guess there's nothing much else to say. Except a million thank yous to my fans - I really don't know how to express my immense gratitude to them, only to say thank you, thank you, thank you."
Asked if he would be touring any further or playing any more gigs, he replied "Only in a moment of madness would I consider it. I've moved on. It's really all over, I'm afraid. That part of my life is done with.".
Asked for final confirmation that there will be no more Damien Rice music released, he replied "No. I'm sad about it and I'm really sorry that I kept my fans in suspense for such a lengthy period of time, but I definitely won't be releasing any more albums.".

It isn't on the official site, plus Damien travelled all across Europe playing music, was in Juniper before that, MUSIC IS HIS LIFE. Plus members of his band have said that the album is coming.

it's a blatant lie. he was in NY 2 weeks ago and he seemed to thoroughly enjoy performing. anyone that believes this is an idiot. i could foresee this happening in the future maybe someday down the road, but right now? No way. I understand why this person posted though.
