I know this might be a tired/taboo topic, but does anyone know the status of the relationship between Damien and Lisa? if they were ever together, what they are now, etc. are any of his songs based on her and their relationship?

I think probably like most relationships it is forever evolving and changing.. Damien knows people are curious so don't to feel bad about wanting to know..This is what he said about in the hot press interview

“Some people think something… and some people think something else. Some people think there’s something going on, or there was, or there will be. Most people have an opinion. I understand that people are curious about it, as we’re onstage, we work very closely together and we sing about these things, but the essence of what we do, because it’s so revealing and bare in what it is…”

He trails off, before picking up the thread.

“It’s like if I ask someone to describe myself. I don ’t really know myself, there’s no way I can really describe myself, and if I don’t know myself I certainly don’t know myself and Lisa, so there’s no way I can say anything about it.”

I was at a Damien Rice gig but didn't actually get to see him play. Afterwards I was sitting in the back of a bus with Lisa, Shane, Tomo and Damien.

We weren't talking but there was other people around us talking...then Damien started kissing Lisa and they were kinda eating the face off each other so I turned my back to them and that was the end of the dream.

I've had dreams in the past that have came true in some form......you never know....

Actually, has anyone here gone on a J1 visa. They give you a little handbook containing information you'll need in the US, it also tells you how to act with the americans. It explicatly say that Americans don't "get" the Irish habit of slagging.
