I don't use Fitzfox much but have you tried Mozilla, thats what I use for most internet sites:
ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mozilla/releases/mozilla1.8a 4/mozilla-win32-1.8a4-installer.exe

hey angela, i use firefox all the time and don't have any problem. lemme see what version i have.... say 0.91... i wonder what might have changed between that and version 1 that would stop it from working.

Don't laugh at me I even reinstalled Firefox. Gosh, I hate spending hours in help forums trying to figure out trivial things like that. I'm not sure I'm ready to switch to yet another browser, Brendan, but I'll keep it in mind. Took me weeks to get used to Firefox.

well Mozilla is like the big brother version of Firefox with all the bells and whistles. I think Firefox is a just a simlified quick download version of Mozilla.. but use whichever one you want if transfering bookmarks, etc will cause you problems... anything but Internet Exploder! Emm, I hadthat version before and upgraded to 1.0 when it came out. I had the same problem all along, I just never took the time to follow up on it. I deleted the cache, cookies, unstilled, reinstalled, banged my head against the wall, waived a dead chicken over the computer... ..I guess I'll try tech support next

I suspect I didn't use enough herbs. Should have added some cilantro, maybe? (Dear tech support: "How much parsley do you need to fix cookie problems?" )

this reminds me of anther story:
True story, as heard on the "Late Late Show with Tom Snyder" 3/3/97: Scientists at NASA have developed a gun for the purpose of launching dead chickens. It is used to shoot a dead chicken at the windshield of airline jet, military jet, or the space shuttle, at that vehicle's maximum traveling velocity. The idea being, that it would simulate the frequent incidents of collisions with airborne fowl, and therefore determine if the windshields are strong enough to endure high-speed bird strikes. British engineers, upon hearing of the gun, were eager to test it on the windshields of their new high-speed trains. However, upon firing the gun, the engineers watched in shock as the chicken shattered the windshield, smashed through the control console, snapped the engineer's backrest in two, and embedded itself into the back wall of the cabin. Horrified and puzzled, the engineers sent NASA the results of the experiment, along with the designs of the windshield, and asked the NASA scientists for any suggestions. The NASA scientists sent back a brief response: "Thaw the chicken."
